Ring of Honor returned to Cleveland, OH last night before a crowd of nearly 600.

Dark matches

  • Jayson Reign and Marco Cordova over Derek Dempsy and Pele Primeau.

  • Bobby Demsey and Smash Bradley over Mitch Franklin and Richard Titus.

  • Crazy J and Lotus over Conrad Kennedy and Shane Haggadorn in what was reported as an "awesome match"

    Main show results:

  • Adam Pearce over Jay Fury in a "solid outing". Post-match, Necro Butcher showed up and brawled with Adam Pearce as the locker room emptied as Jim Cornette was talking. Necrobutcher took an ugly looking bump in the brawl..

  • Jimmy Yang over Jay Lethal (reported as a "great match").

  • Tony Mamaluke, Sal Rinauro and Delirious over the Embassy (Reported heat between Rave and Shelley).

  • Low Ki over Jack Evans. Sounds like Evans was used for Ki's personal punching bag.Evans got some offense, but he was Ki's punching (or kicking) bag for the whole night. And he took it well. Ki beat him bad, winning with the double stomp in the corner.

  • Claudio Castagnoli and Ace Steel over Nigel McGuinness and Chad Collyer

  • Gen Next over Lacey's Angels to retain the ROH Tag Team titles. Jacobs was preoccupied with Lacey the whole match, including being out of the corner when BJ was looking for a tag. Jacobs botched a spot where Whitmer had Aries, I believe, on his shoulders. Jacobs was to hurricanrana him, but missed it and sorta fell.

This sort of led to a quick finish...2 Strong backbreakers on Jimmy and a 450 by Aries for the win. I guess the missed spot could be "attributed" to Jacobs not being in the game tonight. After the match, he was talking to Lacey, not giving BJ the time of day, and BJ was mad. After a couple of attempts to get his attention, he hit JJ with the Exploder and left. Good match, and another team that's got problems.

  • Christopher Daniels over Matt Sydal. Sydal looked very good in this match, hitting the moonsault dive to the outside and a nice pumphandle driver sorta move. Daniels' right knee, I believe, was giving him troubles. At 1st I thought he was selling something, but I don't remember any moves on his leg. Sydal did a nice job of keeping Daniels from hitting his big moves, aka grabbing his leg to keep him from doing the BME, getting out of Angel's Wings, etc. Daniels wins with a choke submission, I believe, reversing a Sydal pin attempt.

  • Bryan Danielson over AJ Styles to retain the ROH World title, The beginning started off slow with a lot of techinical stuff, reversals, etc., and AJ kept up with everything. Then Dragon offers his hand and AJ spits in it. Danielson then gets AJ in the corner, mounts him, and spits in his face!

AJ goes nuts and throws some real stiff looking kicks and punches. Match goes back and forth with AJ hitting the Pele kick, the diving forearm from the guardrail, and a nice twisting flip from the top rope. Danielson gets Cattle Mutilation on, but AJ gets to the ropes. Lots of near falls, AJ can't hit the Clash. Late in the match, Dragon gets CM locked in again, only to have AJ flip over into a pinning combination. After Dragon kicks out, he attempts the Chickenwing...initially AJ blocks it, but he finally gets caught and grapevined on the ground. He taps, and Dragon is still the Champ.
