Steve Theobald sent in the following recap:

The Interview opened with Bret talking about his history in Amateur wrestling, saying it was a lot of hard work with no real reward.

He then talked about ‘The Dungeon’ and how he recalls tugging on his dad’s trouser leg asking questions when he was 4, and that the wrestling business was all he’s ever known.

He then said his breakthrough into professional wrestling came about when he was about 20, he traveled the world, kept in shape and met lots of girls, and he says the girls in wrestling are better looking today and don’t look like Moolah anymore.

In his opinion, his best match was Summerslam 92 against Davey Boy Smith, he said the crowd was approximately a 50/50 split in support, and cited that it was because there were two heroes in the ring. He urged any non wrestling fans that if they were to watch any match it would be that one. He said is was probably the pinnacle of his career, to put on a match like that in front of 82,000 people.

They talked briefly about his kick to the head from Goldberg, and his stroke in 2002. And he said he is just glad to be alive and he doesn’t put the sharpshooter on reporters for publicity anymore, as he is definitely retired.

He said that he got involved in his WWE DVD to make sure a lot of the footage in Connecticut wasn’t forgotten.

He closed the interview talking about how he wouldn’t have a problem if any of his children wanted to go into the wrestling business, and that too see the world because of that is a good thing.

That’s about it. The interview was 5 minutes maximum. There was no mention of the Royal Rumble, and no mention of ‘Montreal’ or Vince McMahon, or the WWE directly. Just about Bret.
