Saturday Night's Main Event to air live after all at 8pm ET on March 18...
On Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at 8:38 PM EST According to a graphic on WWE.com, the return of WWE Saturday Night's Main Event on March 18 will reportedly being airing live on NBC at 8pm Eastern/7pm Central. It was originally thought that the show should be taped earlier in the night and aired later in the 11:30pm Eastern Saturday Night Live timeslot.
According to reports, it appears the decision was made to push the show to primetime since Saturday is generally the lowest rated night of the week for TV. It is also interesting to note that had the show aired in the 11:30pm timeslot, WWE and TNA would have been going head-to-head. To check out the section for the show, click here.
