Injuries at Lockdown, former WWE Diva debuts + more on Low Ki & TNA
On Monday, April 24, 2006 at 2:16 PM EST There were no major injuries coming out of last night's Lockdown PPV.
For those who saw the PPV or read the reports, former WWE Diva and 2005 RAW Diva Search winner Christy Hemme debuted at TNA's Lockdown PPV last night in Orlando, FL. We can confirm that Hemme has signed a full-time deal with TNA.
Another name recently signing a deal with TNA was Low Ki, who will now go by the name Senshi in the company. A decision was made within the company to create a new name for Low Ki in order for TNA to have ownership over his name as Ki was not going to sign over the name he helped build over the last few years. TNA had initially approached Ki a few weeks ago when Jushin "Thunder" Liger was forced to pull out of the PPV. We are aware that a backup plan was to have former ECW and WWE star Lance Storm come in, although it isn't known if it was a one shot deal or a full-term deal.
