According to reports today, it appears MTV will be picking up the "Wrestling Society X" project as a new series on the network. Although MTV has yet to issue an official statement about picking up the show, the fact that the network purchased a trademark on April 11 for the term "Wrestling SocietY X" would indicate the show is a go.

The initial 30 minute pilot was filmed a few months ago in Los Angeles featuring wrestling talents Sean Waltman, Vampiro, New Jack, Justin Credible, Teddy Hart, Jack Evans, Matt Sydal and others. The show was set in a "Fight Club" atmosphere created to look run down and featured live music by the band Black Label Society.

We hope to have more information from MTV about the show very soon.
