Wow, a miracle. A WWE Pay Per View has more than six matches. Can they book it properly? Mind boggling, ladies and gentlemen. Ok, let's begin the 2nd hundred columns of the "palace" with picks for tonight's Judgment Day Smackdown PPV.

MELINA vs. JILLIAN

I'm not 100% familiar with Jillian's wrestling ability, however, Melina has impressed me somewhat. This is a filler bout, as much as I am a Melina fan, and I am, but this should not be taking place on a pay per view, I don't care what you tell me. I'll take Melina, because more than likely, Nitro and Mercury will figure out a way to make their presence known and sway the momentum to their goregous valet for the victory.

WINNER: Melina

CHRIS BENOIT vs. FINLAY

It's really pitiful how they have continued to bury Chris Benoit. I mean it, they put him in the King of the Ring, and yet, they don't get him to the final, now, they have him in this match with a man who, albeit a hell of a fighter, really doesn't have a niche carved on the Smackdown roster. Is this one going to be intense? Indeed. Is this one going to be ultra-brutal? It has all the markings of such. However, what does Chris Benoit have to do to get himself back in to the World title picture? He has been a US champion, he has faced every single opponent Vince McMahon has thrown in front of him, jobbed to most of them probably at Vince's behest, and still, he can't get a main event match, and is relegated to this type of contest.

It really does make me sick. Benoit wins, in a hard fought, meaningless contest, which is ridiculous, because eventually Benoit will walk, go to TNA, and win the NWA World Title. See Christian Cage if you don't believe me on that one.

WINNER: Chris Benoit

KURT ANGLE vs. MARK HENRY

Henry is still employed. Ridiculous. He puts Batista on the shelf, and the former champ isn't back yet. He practically smooshes Angle out of the business, and definitely takes him out of what looked like a sure fire King of the Ring tournament win, and now, Angle is booked with this behemoth again? What is WWE trying to do, kill one of their marquis talents?

I don't care what you say to me about Mark Henry, he has no business being on a PPV, and he has no business being in WWE. He is talentless, he is charisma depleting, and he brings the show to a screeching halt. And that's just on his good days. I hope Angle doesn't end up regretting this decision. He may, sooner, rather than later.

WINNER: Kurt Angle

THE GREAT KHALI vs. THE UNDERTAKER

What can be said about Khali except he is terrible in the ring. He is. And to put him in the ring with the conscience of the WWE is inherently dangerous to the stability of the Smackdown roster, because I can guarantee you one thing. The Undertaker is not going to be able to withstand a botched spot from this monster, period. If Khali can't perform to the level that is needed for a PPV match, this one is certain to go down as some form of botched finish, and Undertaker's career, I think, is going to be in significant jeopardy. Not because of Khali's size and power, but because of his lack of talent and inexperience. I really hope Taker comes out of this unscathed. I can see him getting seriously hurt, and it scares me.

I'll pick Taker to win, because he's Taker, but this one is definitely one to cringe through.

WINNER: The Undertaker

KING of the RING Tournament Final
BOOKER T. vs. BOBBY LASHLEY

Is it me, or does this one scream for a Batista run in to give Lashley either the dupe, or DQ him? Booker and Batista allegedly have a knock down drag out brawl, it's broadcast all over WWE.com, Batista is due to come back to live action at any moment, and here is a high stakes match involving his soon to be rival, Booker T. It's almost too easily put in the line for a Batista return to start a feud with Booker. Booker can survive losing this match, and not lose his place in line. Lashley can't. Lashley needs this win to put him in title contention. I suspect Booker will get DQed or lose to the run in from the Animal, giving the rookie superstar Lashley the King of the Ring title, and an eventual shot at a championship.

WINNER: Bobby Lashley

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
GREGORY HELMS defends against SUPER CRAZY

Is this where ECW comes in to effect on Smackdown? Does Crazy enlist the help of some newly signed ECW talents to infiltrate the PPV and get the WWE Cruiserweight title and either A) change it to an ECW style title on Smackdown, or B) take it to ECW all together? One on one, on paper, this one is evenly matched, and the only wild card would be Psicosis. However, with this possibility of ECW playing a role in this one, with Super Crazy's easy ties to the newly reformed brand, anything is possible. I'm going to take Helms to defend the title, but this one would not surprise me to see a funky ending, or a title change.

WINNER: Gregory Helms

WWE Tag Team Championship
MNM defend against PAUL LONDON & BRIAN KENDRICK

I am thrilled that London and Kendrick get a tag title shot at Judgment Day. I think it's fabulous. I also am shocked that WWE actually booked this storyline to go as long as it has. I am also STUNNED that WWE booked a tag title match for a PPV! It's almost too mind boggling for words. ALL the signs show to a title change, with London & Kendrick having Nitro & Mercury's number for the longest time, and that is the reason why I think MNM will figure out a way to retain. I hope they continue this past Judgment Day, because I would love to see the high flyers of London & Spanky wearing tag team gold, but frankly, I don't think it happens on this night.

WINNERS: MNM

World Heavyweight Championship
REY MYSTERIO defends against WWE United States Champion JBL

Mysterio has been pounded on for the past three weeks. By Mark Henry, by the Great Khali, and now most recently by Kane. All signs should show to JBL in a relatively easy match to win the World title from the Underdog Mysterio. And the other sign that shows me that Mysterio would lose the title is the potential puzzle pieces that could fit in to the proper place leading up to ECW One Night Stand II and the eventual cashing in of RVD's money in the bank shot. How perfect would it be for JBL to win the World title, and gloat all his way to the Hammerstein Ball room where RVD, unable to compete last year, comes out, hands the suitcase over to Heyman, goes out there, and whips JBL's ass for the World title? It's almost too good for words. David vs. Goliath, good vs. evil, ECW vs. WWE, the whole thing wrapped up in to a nice little bow, and prepped for some terrific television. I know that all signs point to RVD vs. Cena at ONS, but this really does work. Also, it would work for Rey vs. RVD, but that's another story for another day.

Now, back to the match at hand, well, there is really no choice in the matter. I am going to say that WWE follows the puzzle, and actually books this thing right down the line. JBL wins the World title at this PPV, and proceeds to gloat all the way to New York, where he will face, and get the ass kicking of his life, from Mr. Money in the Bank, RVD. In the meantime, Rey will figure out a way to get back in to the title picture some time in the near future. I don't think he can survive the onslaught of Henry, Khali, Kane, and JBL in a month's time. Not many people could.

WINNER: New World Heavyweight Champion JBL
