HUGE Children's Benefit Show THIS SATURDAY (Big Show News!)
May 31, 2006

TOMS RIVER – For everybody who is still deciding whether or not to come to this show, I ask you all to consider this. Recently, I visited the Children's Hospital of NJ in Newark and got a tour around the facility at which we would be raising funds for and can tell you all how much they appreciate in and everybody's hard earned money to come to this show. Every penny raised is going to go towards the Children's Hospital, and every penny is a penny they desperately need.

We have told you about Christian Cage, AJ Styles, Abyss & the other great wrestlers on the show. If you were still unsure about coming to Toms River this Saturday, I now would ask that you come not for the superstars on the show, but for the superstars still in the hospital, and the ones who may be there one day.

It's unbelievable to think about but there is really only a few days left before the biggest pro wrestling show of the summer in Toms River, NJ. Remember that ALL PROCEEDS from this event are going directly towards the biggest Children's Hospitals in the State of New Jersey, the Children's Hospital of NJ in Newark. Let's get to the matches:

NWA World Heavyweight Championship - No Time Limit
AJ Styles vs. Christian Cage

The main event of the show is probably one of the biggest matches to hit the Jersey Shore in years. NWA World Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage will go one on one with somebody his never wrestled yet, and that man is the Phenominal AJ Styles. Also to note, we have just gotten word that this match will have NO TIME LIMIT. There WILL be a winner in this one. Will there be a Styles Clash on June 3rd and an improbable victory for AJ, or will experience pan out and will Christian Cage walk out of Toms River holding his head high? Find out next Saturday.

Street Fight
Mana vs. Abyss

This brutal rivalry has been going on for a while now and it's about time for one of these monsters to come out victorious. There will be no headlocks or armbars in this one folks. These two men are out for blood. They will do anything to hurt their opponent, to injure their opponent, or to retire their opponent. Anything is legal. Any weapon can be used. Any part of the venue can be visited. This will most certainly be one for the ages.

Alex Shelley vs. Sonjay Dutt

There will be X-Division warfare next Saturday, June 3rd as fans will be treated to what is sure to be another 5-Star Classic between these two. Sonjay Dutt and Alex Shelley, both stars in TNA's X-Division will try to bring their fame and fortune to the Jersey Shore and prove to everyone why they are among the most high-flying and hard-hitting group of athletes around today.

Heart Throbs vs. Damian Adams & Rob Eckoes

This one certainly is special to those who have followed NJ Independent wrestling in the last few years. You see, back in 2003 in the now defunct Phoenix Championship Wrestling, before Romeo Roselli was famous as a Heart Throb, he was part of one of the most hated factions in NJ, the Moxie Family. With him in that family were two young, impressionable wrestlers by the names of Damian Adams and Rob Eckoes. When Romeo left them for bigger and better things, he swore to never return to the Moxies and that he used Damian and Rob as his stepping stones. Well a few years later, Damian and Rob would have their chance to show him what they thought of him bouncing on them. Next Saturday, with a new partner in Antonio Thomas, the Hearth Throbs go up against Damian Adams & Rob Eckoes.

Petey Williams vs. Josh Daniels

One of these men is the leader of the highly powerful stable in TNA, Team Canada. The other is a seasoned wrestling veteran looking for that one big win that can elevate him to bigger and better things. Will the high-flying style of the X-Division star, Petey Williams, reign supreme? Or will the technical style of Josh Daniels ground Petey into submission? Don't miss this one as it is sure to be off the charts.

Mercedes Martinez vs. Cheerleader Melissa

We promised you a big woman’s match that is sure to steal the show, and we all are confident that this match can as it pits two of the most talented women wrestlers around today against each other. On June 3rd, it will be Mercedes Martinez vs. Cheerleader Melissa. Both women have been touted as the best female wrestlers to come along the indy scene in years and this will be their chance to prove once and for all who the better woman really is.

"Blast from the Past" Battle Royale

And finally, Gerry Strauss put in words last week what this show has meant to all of us for so long. It means a lot of things actually. It means the raising of money of a children’s hospital that very much needs it. It means putting on the best show on the Jersey Shore this summer. But to a lot of us, it means the reunion of our former home. It will be the reunion of a lot of great talent in a great building that haven’t been on a card in ages. That’s why we are happy to announce our ‘Blast from the Past’ Battle Royal. It will feature the same stars that you used to remember from the great NJ companies like PCW and PTW. Talents like Slayer, Jumbo Joe Gunns, The Prophet, Lil’ Ricky & More! Make sure you are here for this because it should be one of the most fun reunions in years.

Remember, we have decided to open doors a little bit earlier then expected too. Although the show will start at 7:30 PM, we will be opening doors at 5:30 PM so that all fans can get a chance to meet all of their favorite wrestlers, get autographs and take photographs! All the wrestlers on the show will be taking part in the meet & greet including NWA World Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage, former WWE Stars the Heart Throbs, Abyss, Alex Shelley & More, so make sure you get to the Toms River High School East Gym very early!

Unlike other charity shows, this show is being organized by not one specific wrestling company, and ALL proceeds from the event will go DIRECTLY to the hospital. The Children's Hospital is the state's premier hospital caring for children, with specialized services to treat ill and injured children from newborn to adolescent years as well as preventive programs that promote wellness in the community. Children's Hospital of New Jersey is an affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System, the largest integrated health care delivery system in the state.

As a hospital devoted only to children, Children's Hospital of New Jersey recognizes that the special needs of children and their families extend far beyond clinical interventions. The facility provides an atmosphere of caring and warmth that complements the extraordinary medical care that is delivered by medical and surgical specialists who are all dedicated exclusively to children's health. The hospital's comprehensive inpatient and outpatient pediatric services include a licensed cardiac surgery program, state-designated regional prenatal center, pediatric intensive care unit, pediatric emergency department, Neonatal Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)/Apnea Center, Valerie Fund Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, neonatal ICU with New Jersey's only ECMO unit, HIV/AIDS treatment for children as well as a sexual and child abuse program.
