After the "WWE vs. ECW" special on Wednesday night in Dayton, the ECW wrestlers were given a pep talk by both Vince McMahon and Johnny Ace. McMahon said he liked the energy level of the ECW wrestlers. On a related note, McMahon was on the headsets the entire night encouraging the banter between Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler against Joey Styles and Tazz. Although Jim Ross made it clear he was concerned with the show focusing too much on the arguments between the announcers over ECW, McMahon was said to have been pleased with the outcome.

The event was also said to have been run like a typical WWE live event. There were no major changes in regards to production crew or how things operated backstage.

Both The Sandman and Balls Mahoney followed the WWE dress code. Vince McMahon explained the dress code and substance abuse policy to all of the ECW wrestlers working for the company earlier this week before the show.
