PWInsider.com is reporting that ECW's TV debut on the Sci Fi Channel tonight at 10pm ET/9pm CT will not be airing live and will instead air on a tape delay.

Although the show was originally scheduled to air live, a decision was made at the tapings tonight in Trenton, NJ to have the show taped before SmackDown as they want the first broadcast to be perfect and have no glitches.

We will be providing full results of the show later tonight.

Update: Another report has made the rounds regarding the decision to not have ECW air live tonight on the Sci Fi Channel and instead air on a tape delay. According to reports, Sci Fi literally freaked out when they heard some of the chants at the ECW One Night Stand PPV and wanted to make sure things like that wouldn't happen tonight for the TV debut. This could easily turn out to be a huge issue for ECW ever airing live on Sci Fi.
