WWE Title change on RAW, charge against RVD and ECW taping tonight
On Tuesday, July 4, 2006 at 5:48 PM EST As I'm sure many wrestling fans expected going into Monday Night RAW last night, the title change to Edge last night was obviously due to Rob Van Dam and Sabu's bust on Sunday following the ECW House Show. When both RVD and Sabu arrived to the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia yesterday, Sabu was informed that he would be pulled from the show and the script was rewritten right away to have the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship.
In regards to the marijuana charges against Rob Van Dam, because of the small amount found, it will more than likely garner a small fine in the $100 range and that is it. (Thanks to YCJDark for help with this as well)
As for tonight with ECW on Sci, WWE Champion Edge vs. ECW Champion Rob Van Dam is still the scheduled main event. Nothing else has been officially announced on ECW.com about the show yet. It should be noted ECW has two hours of matches scheduled for the live corwd, so half the show won't be aired on Sci Fi tonight.
