This transcript is for last week's interview with the "Ultimate Prize" April Hunter as she discusses everything from her personal life to her wrestling career. I'm sure I speak for both Chris and Brian when I say her nick name is appropriate... "The Ultimate Prize" is a prize, or a treat, to speak with and we can't thank her enough for her time.
In the coming days, we'll have transcripts on the way for JD Michaels which is currently an interview you can hear as well as WEW's Hardcore Schoolgirl Ms. Tara Bush. Be sure and order WEW's Nude Ring Anarchy currently airing on your In Demand pay per view cable.

APRIL HUNTER:
The indy scene for women, in April's opinion, is very discouraging. "A lot of 'Diva Search' stuff. It's not what you can do, but how good you look doing it."
Does April think there could be a successful women's promotion in the US? "Sure, why not? What gets the best ratings? Sex and Violence. So there you go, women's wrestling is both!" April brings up sold out women's shows in Japan and Mexico as examples.
James brings up that America is a perverted culture, but April counters with "we are a fake puritanical culture." She also says that American's are uncomfortable with porn. In America, women's wrestling, "Girls gone wild" and wet t-shirt contests are thinly veiled porn and accepted. April also says that in Japan, where they are more open about their porn, the adult stuff is sold at the major stores and when they see women's wrestling, they expect wrestling.
April says you can't blame the "Diva Search" contestants for trying to make a name for themselves. Instead, at the end of the day, you have to blame the WWE for creating it.
James brings up WEW, whom April says treats her well and lets her work with other wrestlers, but knows what the commentary will be at the end of the day.
The next question about April's involvement in "Carmen Electra's Naked Women's Wrestling League." April has never tried giving a suplex in that league, nor is she willing to perform a flying headscissors, which April says could be a finisher there! April admits that that NWWL is a huge paycheck for her as well as being very professional and not having to adjust your costume. "Nothing rides up!"
April has had a bunch of tryouts with WWE or TNA, and would prefer working for TNA as it's the newer company.
April agrees with other women wrestlers on the show that there is a huge lack of quality opponents in the women's circuit. April admits that there are times when she'll just take her opponent's moves and not give them a chance to drop her on her head. It's also frustrating for April to do these sorts of matches for months at a time, then get a quality opponent and have no idea what she wants to do since she's used to dumbing it down.
April wrestled on a New Jersey women's show with 25 people in attendance. April explains that the PW Elite show was already sold and was being taped for release by ClickWrestle. The promoter just didn't bother promoting it. April admits that the other girls were disappointed with the small crowd. Also, April admits that her performance doesn't change with such a small turnout, but still doesn't let her opponent drop her on her head!
After thinking about it for a few seconds, April names Momoe Nakanishi, Mima Shimoda, La Tigressa (Puerto Rico), Talia (her new partner) and Ariel.
April laughs her way through explaining the culture shock of wrestling in Japan for the first time, how the food orders are always messed up (if you know what you're eating), as well as how compact the accomodations are for a girl of her height (5' 9"). April also says the food is expensive and she wound up eating lots of French pastries because she knew what they were.
April prefers working the American style when she's hurt, but when she's healthy she likes working the Japanese style.
In March of 2006, April slipped off a couple of steps, landed vertically on her backside and compressed two discs in her back. She also broke her nose and fractured her ankle before then. April praises the NWWL for taking her of her broken nose and ankle injury.
April has done two movies "Sweet Home Battlefield" and "Just Another Romantic Wrestling Comedy." April would like to do more film, but doesn't think she's that good an actress.
In Japan, April is called "Beautiful Soldier," and is a head and a half taller than most of the girls over there.
April, reluctantly, tells us about the incident in December 2005 concerning her ex-boyfriend, Slyck Wagner Brown.
After that, April goes into how she met her current boyfriend, JD Michaels.
April explains the connection between wrestling women and younger men in the business.
The website takes care of most of April's finances, as wrestling doesn't pay much. April puts over the NWWL and custom videos as
April feels that the way the product is marketed to fans needs to change before Women's wrestling is taken seriously in the US. She also says that most wrestling fans will watch anything wrestling.
April goes into how WOW was a cool concept. She then says that the companies should stop with the "diva searches," and stop trying to turn models into wrestlers, but make models out of independent wrestlers.
April gives plugs for www.aprilhunter.com and www.myspace.com/theultimateprize, then explains that Jason Knight gave her that nickname. The show ends on how April can't get anything registered under "April Hunter" or "Big Red."
