PWInsider.com is reporting that wrestlers under contract with the "Wrestling Society X" promotion were contacted on Friday night and informed that MTV has decided to pick up the show. Wrestlers were told that their contracts are going to be optioned, meaning they are not free to sign elsewhere.

Some of the talent at the first taping included Sean Waltman, New Jack, Chris Hamrick, Justin Credible, Puma, Matt Sydal, Vampiro, Jack Evans and Teddy Hart. Credible has already signed a new deal with WWE, while Puma is expected to sign with TNA. There has been no official word so far though after the 30 day contract extensions expired.

We hope to have more on this story as it develops.
