In a report first published by the Pro Wrestling Torch, reports earlier this week claimed that James Mitchell had contacted World Wrestling Entertainment in hopes of getting work with the new ECW brand. According to Mitchell himself, who is still under contract with TNA, those reports are not true and claims no communication has taken place with WWE.

With TNA losing very little of its audience last week without a UFC lead-in for iMPACT!, Spike TV officials were said to have been impressed. In a situation that only seems to help TNA's chance of a strong push by Spike officials, the two new comedy shows that aired before iMPACT! didn't reportedly fair well in the ratings, while TNA was able to hold a steady audience. There have already been talks of expanding the TNA-Spike TV relationship as it relates to the company being used on the network.

The following dates have been announced for upcoming TNA PPV events: Hard Justice on August 13, No Surrender on September 24, Bound For Glory on October 22 (which is rumored to be held outside of Orlando in the Detroit area), Genesis on November 19 and Turning Point on December 10.
