Talk of putting Dupree & Boogeyman on ECW brand, CW Anderson note
On Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at 2:37 PM EST According to reports, there is talk of putting Rene Dupree into the ECW brand full time. Dupree, who worked a match at the ECW TV taping last night against Balls Mahoney before ECW went live on Sci Fi, is said to look very different now after growing his hair out. Reports from the show stated he was very solid on the mic before his match with Mahoney.
There is also reportedly discussions about bringing The Boogeyman to ECW when he returns from his injury. The feeling is that Boogeyman's character is "tailor-made" for the Sci Fi Network and would be perfect for what the brand is going for right now.
At last night's ECW event in New York City, CW Anderson was announced by his new in-ring name as Christopher W. Anderson. Anderson, who defeated Shannon Moore in a non-televised match, had his name changed by WWE officials for two reasons. One to keep Anderson from having the same name as Smackdown's new network this fall (CW Network) and to help set his character apart from CM Punk.
