*** ACW Week 29 Results***

AUGUST 2ND 2006 - WEEK 29 UPDATES:

Sideshow opened the show by claiming to be the highest draw in the industry today! Sideshow also took the credit for pitting David Mercury and Eddie Taurus - former friends at each others throat when he won the Combat title. Mercury took exception to his name being mentioned and came out to let Sideshow know that when he beat Taurus in the best of 5 - he was coming for the Combat title. Eddie T also had a few choice words for both Mercury and Sideshow. The focus then turned to the 4th encounter in the best of 5 later on in the night.

The never ending battle between Damien Angel and Legion Cage once again took center stage in the opening contest. Damien and Legion know each other very well and without the help of Overkill, Legion Cage might not have gotten a victory on this night. Vinndetta and Marcus Hall got involved in the match giving Legion Cage the one up on Damien for the pinfall - after the match Vinndetta and Hall hit there finish on Damien and Legion gave Overkill his official seal of approval after a few rocky weeks.

Rod Steel faced off with newcomer Shayne Swyft - but the Miami Pound Machine had different plans. Rod asked Swyft to just lay down and take the loss so Rod could go home nice and easy. Swyft had other ideas and started the match quickly, but Rod's years in wrestling caught up to Swyft after a big spinebuster and a Big Dump for the victory. Rod after the match put the boots to the kid, but from the crowd Ricky Romeo slid into the ring to make the save. Romeo challenged Rod - and ACW.com is still awaiting Rod's response.

Eric Cooper made his debut in ACW - against the man that built ACW Ralph Mosca! Mosca and Cooper brawled all over the building including a scoop slam on the unforgiving stage of Bourbon Street. Garbage cans, metal sheets, thumbtacks and tables were all involved in this crazy brawl - but Mosca was able to lay the new kid out with a top rope legdrop through a table!

The ladies mixed it up again this week when Gina Marie battled Amy Love. Gina started using her quickness, but Amy used her brain and brought Gina down to the mat grounding the high flyer. Gina used both her speed, abilities and Legion Cage to secure a victory over the super model - with her feet on the ropes while Legion held her for leverage.

Eddie Taurus and David Mercury have battled 3 weeks in a row - with Mercury taking 2 of the 3 matches. Taurus was able to come back and win last week, and after a hard hitting quick paced matchup - Taurus tied the series 2-2 and forces a 5th matchup next week. These matches have become more and more stiff, more intense and more heated by the week and with both men looking to take the win in match 5 - this could get ugly.

Bruce Santee was set to face his biggest challenge to date - literally! "The 400 lb Monster" Torcher was ready to go with Pretty Fly and Big Daddy Pimp in his corner. In a true battle of monsters, Bruce and Torcher battled out like animals. Bruce for the first time in ACW was outpowered by the 400 lb monster - but in the end Bruce was able to power up the big man with a half nelson slam for the win! After the match, Pretty Fly and Big Daddy Pimp beat Torcher down in the middle of the ring - knocking him out of Pretty Fly's growing outcast alliance!
