Jimmy Jacobs slated to work TNA pre show, Aries update, new TNA deals
On Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 3:04 PM EST Price of Glory Wrestling, Dan Severn's promotion based in Michigan, is reporting on their website that Jimmy Jacobs will be wrestling on the TNA Hard Justice 30 minute pre show tomorrow night in Orlando.
The Pro Wrestling Torch is reporting that TNA is slated to start airing vignettes for Austin Aries hyping his return to the company. Aries is currently finishing out an overseas tour at the moment and will likely return to TNA in the next month or two as plans stand right now. TNA also trademarked the name "Austin Starr", so he is expected to work under that name upon his return.
Also being reported by The Pro Wrestling Torch is that TNA's current employment philosophy is now shifting towards signing wrestlers to long-term contracts with a set weekly pay as opposed to bringing in wrestlers for TV on a short-term pay-per-appearance deal with a typical 10 guaranteed dates. The new standard long-term TNA contract is a three year deal with one year guaranteed and TNA having the option to pick up the last two years. TNA continues to handle independent bookings for their wrestlers and the more bookings TNA wrestlers take, the more they will receive as a bonus at the end of each quarter.
