Smackdown events in Israel next week 'canceled'; no mention by WWE
On Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 3:32 PM EST The scheduled WWE Smackdown events in Israel that were scheduled for next week have now been canceled. Assi Vaaknin, the Israeli producer of the tour, reportedly told major newspapers that no insurance company has agreed to insure the wrestlers and that is why the event was canceled.
It remains to be seen if that reason alone was enough to cancel all of the events in the country. Many fans were issued refunds for tickets purchased earlier. WWE has yet to formally announce anything on WWE.com about the shows being canceled and all of the dates have been removed from the "Live Events" area.
