Full WWE Ratings Report - "Monday Night Football" hurts Raw audience
On Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 1:45 AM EST The 9/11 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw drew a final 3.6 cable rating with a 5.5 share. The first hour scored a 3.6 rating, while the second hour also scored a 3.6 rating. This was obviously not the type of number WWE was hoping for heading into the Unforgiven PPV this Sunday in Toronto. This is the same rating the show scored last week, but that isn't saying much since last week was expected to be down due to the Labor Day holiday. WWE faced some very strong competition from two Monday Night Football games on ESPN. The first game between the Vikings & Redskins scored a strong 9.9 cable rating (12.57 million households), while the second game between the Chargers & Raiders scored an 8.5 rating (an average of 7.87 million households). If this is a pattern of things to come, WWE could be in for some trouble during the football season.
The 9/9 edition of WWE A.M. Raw drew a final 0.7 cable rating with a 3.1 share.
As reported earlier, the 9/8 edition of WWE Friday Night Smackdown only did a 1.0 broadcast rating with a 1.8 share this week. This is obviously due to many former UPN stations dropping the show for now until the switch to The CW Network. The debut on CW starts next week so that will be a rating to pay attention to.
