Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling Newsline: September 13, 2006
FULL CARD ANNOUNCED FOR OCTOBER 8th LIVE EVENT
Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling returns to the famed Turner’s Hall on Sunday afternoon, October 8th with another jam-packed card of the best wrestling action Ohio has to offer. Turner’s Hall is located at 7325 Guthrie, Avenue in Cleveland. Doors open at 4:00, with a special 5:00 Belltime. This WILL be a taping for CAPW TV on Sports Time Ohio so be sure to bring your signs and banners and be prepared to show off your enthusiasm to thousands of viewers throughout the region and beyond.
CAPW officials have already announced the full card for this spectacular event, and it promises to be one of the most unpredictable and competitive events in quite some time…
Samoa Joe vs. American Dragon
If you were going to select the two most dominant titleholders in professional wrestling in this decade, the names of “Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe and “American Dragon" Bryan Danielson would assuredly be near the top of the list most every time. Bryan Danielson is currently the most dominant individual in the Ring of Honor promotion, having held that title for nearly an entire year, dazzling fans and peers alike on the way with his unmatched technical skill and unwavering dedication to his craft. However, Samoa Joe not only dominated the Ring of Honor promotion with a near two-year long title reign, he also wreaked havoc in TNA’s X Division, capturing the X Division Title on 2 separate occasions, and was never pinned in championship matches, or any TNA match at all. These two near-unstoppable entities will collide in a battle to determine supreme dominance and superiority. But with Danielson maintaining a grueling schedule and working through a potentially severe shoulder injury how will the dynamic to this match change in the weeks to come?
CAPW Television Championship - Buff Bagwell vs. Jason Bane
The path of destruction caused by the 6’6" 330 lb. suplex machine, Jason Bane, has claimed nothing but victims and casualties since the re-introduction of Bane as a singles star, and of the CAPW Television Title. Bane has fought seemingly insurmountable odds, tamed a Man Beast, and flattered all who come before him with the Baneline. But now, he opposes one of the most decorated and popular athletes to step foot in a CAPW ring. Buff “The Stuff" Bagwell is largely considered a tag team specialist, capturing several World Tag Titles with numerous different partners, but now Buff is in pursuit of singles glory. Bagwell has consistently been one of CAPW’s most popular attractions but can the support of his fans save Buff Bagwell from the hell Jason Bane prepares to unleash?
Zach Gowen vs. Josh Prohibition
Zach Gowen is truly one of the most remarkable and inspirational individuals to ever enter the wrestling industry. A man who entered professional wrestling against all odds, undersized and overlooked, Zach Gowen persevered and rose to the top of his field in spite of his critics…and did it all with only one leg. Undaunted, Gowen went from being told he couldn’t do it, to appearing on national television alongside the likes of Hogan, Piper, and McMahon. Now, the “One Legged Wonder" embarks on a new mission as he makes his CAPW debut. However, Josh Prohibition is determined to remain a dominant force in Cleveland All-Pro and end the feel-good story of Zach Gowen’s CAPW career before it even begins. Will Prohibition be a great enough force to silence the tenacious Gowen, or will Gowen rise up to the occasion and overcome yet another obstacle?
CAPW Heavyweight Title: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Conrad Kennedy III
The champion makes his return to Cleveland to once again defend the CAPW Title. “Double C" has looked unstoppable as the premiere titleholder in CAPW, and has proven he is more than just a “company champion" as he continues to defend against not only CAPW’s top challengers, but some of the most impressive outside competition found anywhere. Such is the case when Castagnoli defends against Conrad Kennedy III, who has gained a very impressive reputation in recent times whether it’s dominating promotions throughout the mid-west, or becoming one of the newest most-talked about stars of Ring of Honor. CK3 hopes to add to his growing resume by being the man to dethrone Castagnoli on October 8.
CAPW Tag Team Championship - JT Lightning & Chris Cronus (c)vs. Super Oprah & Carlton Kaz
Super Oprah is not an easy person to prepare for. Her androgyny and promiscuousness are enough to make anyone at least a little bit uncomfortable, most of all seeming to be Oprah’s unlikely tag team partner “Simply the Best" Carlton Kaz. But whatever bizarre circumstances brought Kaz & Oprah together, it’s been a winning combination, as the duo seem unbeatable in CAPW rings. Now they receive a tag team title shot at the powerhouse Chris Cronus and the veteran JT Lightning, with Krystal Frost by his side as always. But if the deafening calls of “JT Sucks" throw the tag champions completely off their game, what will happen when they catch a glimpse of Super Oprah? And what happens if Oprah and Krystal Frost cross paths?
CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Championship - Matt Stryker (c) vs. Johnny Gargano
If you’re talking about dominant mat tacticians in CAPW in 2006, you have to be talking about Stryker & Gargano. Matt Stryker has been unbeatable for months upon months and has been untouchable as Jr. Heavyweight Champion. Johnny Gargano has quickly come into his own this year, and has proven he is to say the least wise beyond his years between those ropes. Gargano is one of very few men who has outwrestled Alex Shelley, and here he hopes to do the same to another of the absolute best mat grapplers in Stryker. The Jr. Heavyweight Title may never have been in greater danger of leaving Stryker’s waist than it is now.
Grudge Match - Da Munchies vs. The Aftermath & Tiger Young
These two teams battled just a few short weeks ago and before it was all said and done, the match became too chaotic to control and was thrown out, and Dick Trimmins had his forehead severely lacerated. Both teams were eager to agree to a return bout, not only to finish their past issues but because this match-up could very well determine the next challengers to tag team gold.
PLUS:
N8 Mattson vs. The Bouncer
And in special bonus action:
Faith N Nothing vs. Chris Kole & Marion Fontaine
Billie Taylor vs. Ironman
Luis Diamante vs. Michael Hellborn

Matches scheduled:
Rhino vs. Monsta Mack
JAPW World Heavyweight Champion-"THE WAR MACHINE" Rhino has been one of the most dominating champions in JAPW history, defeating everyone that has been unfortunate enough to enter the ring with him. But on July 29th, Rhino's unbeaten streak in JAPW was nearly ended at the hands of the winner of the Ultimate Rumble, a man who also was on a lengthy winning streak himself, Steve "Monsta" Mac.
After a punishing brawl all over the Tab Ramos Sports Complex, Mack was just one frog-splash away from pinning Rhino and winning his first JAPW Heavyweight Championship ...That was until Mack's old enemy, Trent Acid appeared out of no where and attacked Mack, leaving him vulnerable to a vicious Gore at the hands of the revived Rhino.
Had Acid not interfered, a new champion would have most likely been crowned. After petitioning JAPW promoter "Fat" Frank Iadevaia for a rematch, Mack was granted another shot at the JAPW World Heavyweight Title on Friday night, September 15th in Aberdeen, NJ.
Will Mack finally be able to reach the top in the company that has been his home his entire career? Or will his dreams be smashed by another Gore? Trent Acid will be in attendance that night, and if history is any indication, he will surely make his presence known in this match.
Trent Acid vs. Grim Reefer
Trent Acid, has always been cocky, but can back up everything he says with his actions. Many matches have been over 3 seconds after Acid hits his trademark Yakuza Kick. This young veteran wrestler has faced the best in the world, and defeated them from Jersey to Japan. With his return, he comes seeking revenge on Monsta Mack for defeating him in his home town of Philadelphia.
However on September 15th, he will have his hands full as he makes his official in ring return to JAPW action against a man who nearly won the JAPW Light Heavyweight title, The Grim Reefer.
Reefer almost made Frankie Kazarian tap out to the Chronic Crossface, but the veteran champion Kazarian was able to barely escape the submission hold long enough to catch Reefer in the Wave Of The Future. Despite the loss, Reefer is still in heavy contention for Light Heavyweight Title, and a win over Acid would solidify his position in the rankings.
With revenge seemingly on his mind against Monsta Mack, will Trent take this match against Reefer seriously? Or will he be too focused on Mack to concentrate on Reefer, a mistake that will surely cost him a victory...
Low Ki vs. Azreial
TNA X Division Champion, SenShi (known to the JAPW faithful as Low Ki) will face a JAPW Superstar returning from a successful tour of Japan "The Suicidal Demon" Azrieal. Will Azrieal's experience from his time in the "Land of the Rising Sun" be enough to defeat the seemingly unstoppable SenShi?
Jay Lethal vs. Archadia
Lethal feels that the fans and management of JAPW have turned their backs on him. While his star is rising in TNA, in JAPW, the promotion he calls home, this past year has been a difficult one for Lethal since losing the JAPW title. He has had a lengthy losing streak, His bitter rival, Teddy Hart has passed him over and was announced as Rhino's opponent for the 9th Year Anniversary Show rather than him. His frustration has grown to the point that he can no longer hold back the rage he has kept inside all of these months.
Stepping into the path of that rage is a man whose career to this point has had a startling resemblance to Jay Lethal's early JAPW career- Archadia. Rising from obscurity, Archadia has won over the JAPW fans with his hard work and "never say die attitude", an attitude that allowed him to absorb an incredible beating at the hands of SenShi, and still get up afterwards to standing ovation from those that witnessed it. Will that attitude carry Archadia to a win over Lethal, or will Lethal's own new attitude show that what he faced at SenShi's hands was only the beginning?
Corvis Fear vs. Frankie Kazarian
Corvis Fear was one of the very last JAPW Wrestling Academy graduates many years ago in Bayonne, NJ. Since then he has worked his way up the ladder of competition and gained the respect of wrestling fans alike.
It's time for him to step up and take the next step in his career. On September 15th in Aberdeen, NJ he will receive the biggest opportunity of his career thus far, as he will face the JAPW Light Heavyweight Champion "The Future" Frankie Kazarian. Kazarian has defeated Jay Lethal, AJ Styles and Teddy Hart in recent months, Can Corvis reach down deep inside and find the strength to do what those superstars could not... defeat The Future.
Dan Barry and Plazma vs. All Money Is Legal
Nick Berk vs. Danny Demanto
Nick Berk returns to JAPW after many, many years and is now known as the "entertainer extraordinaire", NICKY BENZ...Nick was in attendance at the last Aberdeen show and was disgusted when he saw Danny Demanto's so-called-dancing in the ring and has challenged him to a match. Considering himself one of the most entertaining wrestlers on the scene today, "Dancing" Danny Demanto has gladly accepted his challenge for Sept. 15th.
Also in action: Melissa Stripes and the JAPW World Tag Team Champions, The OutCast Killaz return
G&A Tickets will be sold at the door. For more info email _FATFRKJAP1@AOL.COM_ (mailto:FATFRKJAP1@AOL.COM) or call 201-379-7709
