Current Card:

Grim Reefer vs. Jason Static

Both Grim Reefer and Jason Static are fresh off their wins at VPW's last event. Reefer defeated Danny Demanto while Static defeated Papadon. After his match with Papadon, Static was brutally assaulted by Papadon, but the time to settle that score is not now. Instead Jason Static will have to fend off the ever-growing anger of Grim Reefer.

Still infuriated over his narrow loss to Xavier at City Limits, Reefer has seemingly used that rage to his advantage. Grim Reefer wanted another shot at Xavier, but a shoulder injury has kept Xavier out of action. When asked about his upcoming match with Jason Static, Reefer had the following to say, "Yo Moe, it doesn't matter who those clowns throw out at me because taking out everyone in that damn locker room. I don't care if I have to take care of Danny Demanto one more time or if they put me up against Richie Tyler." Perhaps Grim Reefer is getting a little ahead of himself or perhaps Jason Static is in for some trouble.

Jason Static told VPW officials that it's Grim Reefer is the one who should be worrying. Static said that he'd like nothing more than to return the favor to Papadon, but that can wait until he gets another win under his belt. Static also made it clear that if Papadon interferes, there's going to be a big problem. It looks like Grim Reefer has a legit challenge ahead of him.

Grim Reefer may currently be fueled by anger, but Jason Static is fueled by competition. Find out on Saturday night, September 16th who will be walking out on top.

Intergender Tag Team Match: JD Michaels & April Hunter vs. Danny Demanto & Alicia

Back at City Limits, April Hunter assisted JD Michaels to win in a match that also included Nikita Allanov and Javi-Air. Since Hunter seemed so inclined to get involved, VPW gave her a match on the last show. Her opponent was everybody's favorite Jersey girl, Alicia. Once again devious tactics came into play, only this time, it was JD Michaels running interference. After April defeated Alicia, her and JD ruthlessly attacked Alicia. Then just as things were looking bad, Danny Demanto ran out to save his longtime friend, Alicia. This caused JD and April to instantly retreat to the back.

Now it's time to settle the score in VPW's first intergender tag team match. What this means is that the men and the ladies can mix it up just as freely as in a regular tag team match. While Danny and Alicia have been friends for a long time and know each other well, they will be going up against two individuals who have gotten the upper hand so far. We also know that JD Michaels is not afraid to hit a lady, but is Danny Demanto going to be able to play the same rules?

Papadon vs. Richie Tyler

This match has a lot riding on it since it could very well determine each wrestler's path in the coming months here in Victory Pro Wrestling. Back at City Limits, Richie Tyler, a relative unknown in the Long Island wrestling scene, had a competitive match with long-time rival, Sabotage. Just when it looked like Richie Tyler had his opponent beat, Sabotage resorted to cheating as a means to get the win. Rather than let his loss consume him, Tyler immediately challenged his victor to a rematch. Back in June, during that rematch, Tyler successfully defeated Sabotage. This was all despite the efforts of Sabotage's newly acquired insurance policy, Don Tony.

At City Limits, Papadon found himself in starting off in a similar situation, but things soon moved in a different direction. On VPW's first show, Papadon let his temper get the best of him and found himself face down for the count in a match against Danny Demanto. Papadon had several opportunities to score the win, but chose to continue his assault on Demanto and taunt the fans instead. That arrogance cost him a match that he had won. Then back in June, Papadon faced similar circumstances in a match against Jason Static. Papadon looked like he was edging out Static, but once again found himself on the losing end in similar circumstances. Immediately after the pinfall, Papadon snapped and assaulted Static. These actions once again showed Papadon's true character.

Now on September 16, 2006, VPW will be presenting a match between Richie Tyler and Papadon, a match between two very different individuals. On one hand, Tyler is calm, collective and an all-around nice guy. On the other hand is Papadon who is devious, angry and determined to win more than anything. Having got past his rival, Sabotage, Tyler is looking to move up in VPW. Defeating someone like Papadon could allow just that. Papadon is looking at this match as a must win situation. He's allowed his anger to hinder him in the past and needs to move past that in order to get past Richie Tyler. It's now a matter of Papadon realizing this for himself. If Papadon gets himself under control, Richie Tyler could be in for the beating of his career.

Triple Threat: JMS vs. Chopsaw vs. Eug Perversion

Back in June, JMS and Chopsaw teamed up to try and take out the undefeated Eclipse. Coming up short, they each felt the other could have stepped it up a little more. That tension has led to their inclusion in this match. The third man in this triple threat is Eug Perversion. Eug has also been a victim of Jack O'Hearts unit of Eclipse and AC Carter. At the last event, all of Jack O'Hearts men brutally attacked Eug Perversion. It's unknown if Jack O' Hearts had anything to do with this match, but it looks like three of his enemies have somehow ended up competing against each other instead of trying to get a measure of revenge. Surely JMS, Chopsaw and Eug Perversion would much rather be dealing with Eclipse and AC Carter instead of each other, but it doesn't look like they'll have that option this time around. With all three men in the ring at one time and one fall to a finish, this will be an intense contest.

High-Flying Cruiserweight Action: Sabotage w/ Don Tony vs. Javi-Air

Seemingly backing off from his feud with Richie Tyler, Sabotage has a new opponent ready to take him to the limits, Javi-Air. Javi-Air has come so close to victory these last couple of shows and it's only a matter of time before he gets a big win here in VPW. The SAT have given Javi-Air their endorsement, so we know they are pulling for their friend. Sabotage's insurance policy, Don Tony, will be in his man's corner attempting to make sure that Javi-Air doesn't get that win that he's been thirsting for. As we saw last time, Don Tony will not hesitate to get involved if it means assisting his client. Both Javi-Air and Sabotage are known for their fast-paced, high-risk style of wrestling. With each man itching for a victory, this will be an important match to watch.

Tag Team Warfare: Dead Presidents vs. Monsta Mack & Bison Bravado

The Dead Presidents claim they are coming to VPW to get some respect and to rough up anybody who has a problem with that. Standing in their way will be the largest pair of wrestlers to ever team up in VPW, Bison Bravado and Monsta Mack. When Bison Bravado was last in VPW, he had some pretty harsh words about New York and the New York fans. He was also seen hanging around Philadelphia wrestlers like the Backseat Boys and Ashe Samuels. It appears that Bison Bravado has moved away from them and is going back to his roots with an old friend from Brooklyn, Monsta Mack. Monsta Mack is also known as the Brooklyn Bull and it looks like he and Bison are looking to stampede over the Dead Presidents. Boog Washington and Lo Lincoln have made it clear that they don't care how big and tough their opponents are, they will walk out of the building this Saturday as winners.

Tag Team Challenge Match: Eclipse w/ Jack O'Hearts vs. L.I. Kid & DC Diamond

Jack O'Hearts team of Eclipse has been on a legit warpath since City Limits. Anybody who's crossed their path has gone down the hard way. After suffering a beating at the hands of Eclipse and AC Carter last show, DC Diamond is looking to get even. He's enlisted the LI Kid to be his tag team partner and they both mean business. DC Diamond said that Eclipse are nothing but a pair of bullies who need to be taught a lesson. Diamond said that he and the LI Kid are going in to this match full force and are fighting for everyone that Eclipse has tried to walk all over. Jack O'Hearts had this to say, "DC Dummy and the LI Brat can try as hard as they want to defeat my men, but in the end they'll fail because I'm the Jack O'Hearts baby!"

Special Revenge Challenge Match: AC Carter w/ Jack O'Hearts vs. ???

VPW officials have no idea who AC Carter will be facing, but it is known that DC Diamond has handpicked Carter's opponent. With DC Diamond and the LI Kid going after Eclipse, Diamond felt that it wouldn't be fair if AC Carter got off the hook for his role in the massive beating at the end of the last event. AC Carter has been overheard saying that he could care less who he's facing because he can beat whoever comes his way. Carter has said to have been training intensely over the last few months and doesn't seem worried. Can this overconfidence be the mistake that leads to defeat?

VPW Scoops

Mack Daddy Flex will be debuting in VPW this Saturday night. Flex is a big man that is ready to make an impact. As of now, VPW Officials are not sure who Mack Daddy Flex will be facing or what type of match it will be, but Flex will have a presence this Saturday night. Flex has told VPW officials that in his eyes there is a couple of clowns running around that could use some humbling. It will be interesting to see if Flex makes a move on these individuals.

Jack O'Hearts has been running his mouth even more than usual, alleging that his crew of Eclipse and AC Carter will soon be joined by a new member. He claims that this new member may even be debuting Saturday night.

As everyone knows, Xavier is currently out due to having shoulder surgery. However, there are rumblings that despite being injured, Xavier will most likely be coming down to VPW on Saturday. While Xavier may be there, no one is sure what his true purpose is yet.

In addition to the new additions already announced, there may be another new face debuting this weekend.

IPW:UK Return To Swanley, Kent, On October 7th With CAGED WARFARE!

?? To many, the ultimate stipulation match is the CAGE MATCH. A metal structure erected around the ring and designed to cause bloodshed to the competitors, and keep the bout a fair one-on-one contest, where a winner WILL be decided.

IPW:UK has never before held a cage match, in our entire history. But, come October 7th, our first ever IPW-exclusive show in the White Oaks Leisure Centre ??? that all changes.

To order tickets to this event, or any other IPW:UK event, head over to: http://www.ipwuk.com/tickets/index.shtml, or for full information simply click on to: http://www.ipwuk.com/events/index.shtml!

Stone vs. Iceman Goes No DQ, No Countout ??? NO RULES!

?? Iceman may have a tough time getting the crowd on his side when he comes to Swanley on October 7th, as any Orpington faithful will be very much on his case ??? he is the reason that they got cheated out of the chance to see Go Shiozaki and Martin Stone go toe to toe for the IPW:UK title, as (while wrestling in Doncaster), Iceman destroyed Martin Stone???s hand with a wayward chair-shot. With blood dripping from the side of the hand all night, and Stone left unable to even close a fist with which to punch the Newcastle heavyweight, he regretfully had to withdraw from IPW:UK Summer Sizzler.

He was able to deliver a message, though. And that message was that come October 7th at Caged Warfare, their match would not be just a regular singles match, but things will go no holds barred, with the title on the line!

Leroy Kincaide In Line For Qualifier For The Third Annual Extreme Measures Tournament!

?? Leroy Kincaide???s last appearance in IPW:UK back in July was possibly his lowest point since entering the promotion in November 2005. Losing in well under 10-minutes to a supercharged Andy Boy Simmonz, Kincaide looked off the mark and unprepared.

Fast forward to October 7th. Having been taken off of all bookings until further notice, Kincaide was made aware last week that October was his re-starting date, as Kincaide looks to really make it his month, entering into a singles contest in which the winner gains instant entry into the Extreme Measures tournament. His opponent, currently unannounced, is in a similar situation to Kincaide, with you only being as good as your last review (or in this case, performance). On October 7th, which cream can rise to the top?

?? It is also understood that after much lobbying from the IPW:UK roster, the competitors for the CAGE MATCH itself have been confirmed, and will be announced at the Anniversary weekender!

Therefore currently announced for IPW:UK ???Caged Warfare???, Saturday October 7th, is:

The First Time In IPW:UK History: A Cage Match
- Competitors to be confirmed.

IPW:UK Title Match ??? No DQ, No Countout - NO RULES
- Martin Stone (c) vs. Iceman

The Loser Must Become The Winner???s Servant Match
- Andy Boy Simmonz vs. The Duke of Danger

Extreme Measures Tournament Qualifier
- Leroy Kincaide vs. TBC

Plus much much more. Your referees Andy Quildan & Chris Hatch. Master of Ceremonies, as always, ???Hardcore??? John Atkins.

Wrestling Returns to the EC.... New Alhambra Arena in South Philadelphia!

Blood, sweat, and tears. These three words summarize the results of past wrestling events that have taken place at the ???bingo hall??? in South Philadelphia. June 24th was the day that the New Alhambra Arena lost the respect of true wrestling fans due to a mediocre show that did not live up to the reputation of the company. Ronnie Lang, head of Atlas Security, was also displeased by the event. In the best interest of the fans, Lang decided to debut a new organization that is dedicated to ???hardcore??? wrestling fans. This was the origin of Pro Wrestling Xplosion which debuted on Wednesday September 13. The show had a much talented roster, as well as special treat to the ringside fans. Rows 1-3 were allowed in a half an hour early for a special meet and greet session with the wrestlers on the card. Fans could get pictures and autographs with the likes of Abyss and ???The Fallen Angel??? Christopher Daniels that would lead into the inaugural show by PWX.

A debut show comes with a fair share of bumps in the road, that the company will learn from. The ring was a tad bit shabby, but the roster of talent and quality of the show might have made up for that little problem. Brother Ray could even be heard saying how pitiful the ring was, but competitors such as him made the show that much more entertaining. The next show should bring a better ring, due to the impact the talent brought to the promotion.

The show kicked off in a big way with two TNA X- Division standouts. ???The Fallen Angel??? Christopher Daniels came out to take on young Jay Lethal. This match was very impressive from both ends. The ropes were flimsy but both competitors made the best of what they had available to them. Lethal even did a plancha from the apron into the ring by holding onto two of the ropes for leverage. Lethal also has very impressive feet, and kept up with the veteran favorite Christopher Daniels. Daniels picked up the victory in this very intense and crowd pleasing opening bout.

That match was followed by a show stealing six man tag match between three young studs in the wrestling business. Three of which should be signed to either TNA or WWE by now. TNA???s ???Original Playa from the Himilaya??? Sonjay Dutt teamed up with CA Elliott and the very over Ruckus to take on new comer Altar Boy Luke and the fan favorite tag team of Jose and Joel Maximo, The SAT???s. The SAT???s were very impressive, and at a time when tag team divisions are in the toilet, they could fit right in either of the big companies. Ruckus is one of the most athletic, high flying competitors in the business. He would fit right in in TNA???s X- Division. Many risks were taken during this match, that were very crowd pleasing to the fans. CA Elliott and Alter Boy Luke should make more appearances in the PWX ring. The more experience they get, the more impressive they will be.

It was mystery match time next. Former TNA superstar Delirious ran around the ring, and went absolutely insane. His opponent was ROH standout Claudio Castagnoli. The fans fell in love with the crazy, absurd behavior of Delirious while many were bored with Claudio Castagnoli. Castagnoli is a very good technical wrestler who the fans will have to adjust to. He can have very good matches, and could carry a storyline for the company. The fans of Philadelphia need to know a little background on wrestlers, and Castagnoli got a bad rap getting thrown in there against Delirious. Both of these could become impact players if this company takes off.

A Chikara Six Man Tag Team Match was scheduled next. This match would have lucha libre rules, as it is a match based on the customs of Mexican wrestling. It was very entertaining and comical at times. Mike Quackenbash was very impressive as he led his teammates of Equinox and Shane Storm over Akuma, Ice Cream Jr., and Hydra. Hydra thought he had the build of a seven foot giant, while he had the body type of Screech from Saved by the Bell. Ice Cream Jr. was also entertaining. He had an ice cream cone sticking out the top of his mask, and just like Abyss gets his bag of tacks, Ice Cream gets his bag of sprinkles.

Abyss against Rhyno was scheduled next as these two monsters should bring the house down. BUT... out comes Team 3D... The Dudley Boyz. After a couple altercations with fans, and Brother Ray doing his catch phrases, Team 3D challenged ???The War Machine??? and ???The Monster??? to a tag team. A short lived match so the ending came when Abyss got gored by Rhyno into a table, who then turned around into 3D. Might have been the most over wrestlers in the building.

Davey Richards was unable to wrestle as scheduled due to an injury. Nicky Benz came out to bring a little bit of entertainment to the show. While trying to perform ???New York,??? Benz was attacked by Arik Cannon who was the special opponent for the fan favorite Chris Hero. Hero has one of the most deadliest chops in the business. A great worker, who is very over with the fans, Hero got the win over Cannon. Hero is another wrestler on this card that is very underrated and should have a contract either in WWE or TNA.

The Hardcore Rules Match was scheduled match. It was scheduled to be Ian Rotten vs. Mana vs. New Jack, but that is not the match that the fans received. Due to an altercation with a fan in the arena, New Jack was arrested and unable to compete. So, the match was turned into a mixed tag match between Ian Rotten and ???Prime Time??? Amy Lee against ???The Polynesian Warrior??? Mana and Mickie Knuckles. This match features chairs, staple guns, and a lot of blood. Not just from the men. Mickie Knuckles was bleeding as well, especially after a big dropkick to the face from Ian Rotten. Ian Rotten and Amy Lee picked up the win in a bloodbath.

???The Phenomenal??? AJ Styles then came out to a huge ovation to take on one half of the NWA Tag Team Champion???s ???Homicide.??? These guys put on a good match, but nothing to the caliber of what these two can really put on. Homicide spent most of his time bickering with fans on the outside of the ring. The ending came from a modified sunset flip giving AJ Styles the victory.

Then, the Main Event of the evening. Eight years in the making came to this. ???The King of Old School??? Steve Corino (along with Jack Victory) was set to take on Teddy Hart (along with Ruckus.) The match started as Corino slapped Hart square in the face, bloodying the young member of the Hart family. As his mouth filled with blood, Hart spewed blood all over Corino???s face. The match went very well, and exceeded expectations. Hart was very impressive, and is another one added to the list. He used to compete in TNA but could be a huge money maker in either company. The match ended in controversy as the referee said Hart tapped, when he absolutely did not. Hart went absolutely nuts, challenging Corino to a fight in the parking lot and lots of screaming back in forth. Order was restored, and the show came to an end.

The kinks were worked out, and will be remembered as PWX prepares for their next show in the near future. The show was stacked, and if the talent returns, fans will be happy they came. Check www.pwxplosion.com for more news and information on up coming shows for the company.
