IPW:UK TELEVISION ON THE WRESTLING CHANNEL - THIS FRIDAY NIGHT, 11PM, LATE NIGHT UNCENSORED!

When it was announced on August 25th that IPW:UK were coming to The Wrestling Channel, few could’ve dreamed that it would’ve been so soon. But thanks to the lightning fast turnaround from both IPW:UK and The Wrestling Channel, two Fridays ago we hit the air-waves for the very first time. And tonight… we’re back again!

11PM, ON THE WRESTLING CHANNEL (SKY 427)

On IPW:UK TV episode three, you will find:-

The Newest WWE Signee, Harry ‘Bulldog’ Smith vs. Andy Boy Simmonz

In our scheduled main event, Harry Smith, the son of the legendary British Bulldog, Davey Boy Smith, takes on a man who has evolved these past two weeks in front of our own eyes. Formerly the kind of wrestler who really cared about the fans reactions, when things started to sour and Andy Boy wasn’t flavour of the Orpington month anymore, his attitude began to change until it snapped.

This week’s IPW:UK TV just goes one further step to proving this, as Andy Boy Simmonz goes one-on-one against Smith in a match he requested. As is very clear, Simmonz puts the blame firmly on Smith for their loss (as a tag team) in the IPW:UK Tag Title tournament that the pair competed in back in mid 2005. Teaming under the name British Beef, Simmonz felt that Smith was the ‘weak link’ in the team, as it was Smith who tapped out to lose the decisive semi-final bout.

Smith wants to get the job done as a matter of pride in his final match on British turf before taking Stateside with World Wrestling Entertainment, and Simmonz just wants to prove his point and make a scene in doing it.

Fact: This was Harry ‘Bulldog’ Smith’s second to last match before starting on the road with the WWE.

Former WCW Star & Mexican Legend, Vampiro vs. IPW:UK’s Very Own, JC Thunder

As if one future star of the business wasn’t enough, we add to the line-up with a real legend of it too. JC Thunder is one of the funniest men in British wrestling right now, mixing an amazing self-belief that he’ll eventually get lucky and score a win, with a tremendous losing streak. Fans at the Orpington Halls and in IPW:UK venues around the south have taken to this lovable charisma machine with amazing effect. We join Thunder in match number 4 of his IPW:UK career, and after previous losses against Jake, Paul Robinson and Battalion, JC just seems to want to improve the calibre of his opponent with each loss…

…and what better calibre of opponent than a legend in the very truest sense of the word – Vampiro. Making his second appearance in IPW:UK, Vampiro actually wrestled this match as an unscheduled second bout of the evening, answering Thunder’s insane challenge.

Will the STREAK, START, HERE?

Fact: JC Thunder has been trying to start his winning ‘streak’ since the Anniversary show #1, on September 25th 2005. This weekend marks the second Anniversary shows!

Fact: JC Thunder was injured by Andy Boy Simmonz back at Frontiers of Honour 2 on Friday August 18th, and he hasn’t re-appeared in IPW:UK since. This is his debut on IPW:UK on The Wrestling Channel.

Tag Action: The Dragon Hearts vs. The Kartel

Two weeks ago we saw a tag rankings match where two debuting teams went head to head, with no pun intended, as Maximum Head (comprising of Max Voltage and Dan Head) took on The Dragon Hearts (made up of Spud and Dragon Phoenix). On that night, it was The Dragon Hearts who came out on top in the battle of the debutants.

This time out however, The Dragon Hearts are going against regulars at the Orpington Halls. In one of the… sickest… matches that IPW:UK has ever seen, The DH’s take on the WINNERS! that are Terry Frazier and Sha Samuels; The Kartel.

Samuels is the bigger, brasher of the two men – appearing here with the shaven head and bushy beard, a look he alternates regularly. Frazier is the smaller of the two, but amazingly well conditioned and sure as hell not afraid to throw in anything that will injure the opponent, be it a quick kick to the back, or a double stomp to the midsection. Whatever gets the job done.

Fact: The Kartel made their IPW:UK debuts at the Weekend of Champions afternoon card back in July. They’re the most successful two men in IPW to have first started on an afternoon card, having been so close to capturing tag gold right throughout the most part of 2005.

Also on the show is a re-introduction to ‘The Guvnor’ Martin Stone – the IPW:UK Champion - as well as full information on what you can see next week (first airdate Friday the 22nd September) on IPW:UK TV.
