IGN.com interview with Samoa Joe about TNA's new video game, & more
On Friday, September 22, 2006 at 12:50 PM EST IGN.com has an interview up with Samoa Joe where he talks about the new TNA video game being developed by Midway Games, his upcoming "Fan's Revenge Match" with Jeff Jarrett this Sunday at the No Surrender PPV and more.
In regards to the upcoming TNA video game, which Joe is heavily involved with along with AJ Styles, he added quote, "The first day they came to talk to me and A.J., they knew we were adamant about the game being, not just good, but special, and we came in with three-to-four pages of suggestions. Stuff that worked in past games, stuff that hasn't worked, and they were pretty damn amazed by the level of detail and some of the stuff we came up with. We're definitely pushing the next-gen envelope. We're a game that's going to run at 60 frames-per-second, we're going to pump up the action, and pump up the violence level like only Midway does. Midway has a history of stylized violent games, and the TNA game should have that same type of flair."
On the "Fan's Revenge Match" this Sunday at No Surrender: "A select number of fans sent in videos to explain why they hate Jeff Jarrett, and the response was overwhelming, believe it or not. The office used those tapes to select the fans. I'd like to see some big fans, some big boys standing around the ring."
On if TNA needs a second hour for iMPACT! on Spike TV: "Absolutely. I think the more time you give us, the better the product we'll put out. I think we really try to cram a lot into this small space of time, but I think with two hours, you'd see a very different TNA product, and a very, very different scene at TNA with more time given to some guys who desperately need it."
