ECW notes on status of Balls Mahoney & Justin Credible + Mercury note
On Sunday, September 24, 2006 at 2:35 AM EST Balls Mahoney tested positive for Demerol, a pain killer, and was given a 30 day suspension from WWE. This is part of the new Wellness Policy rules, so he will likely remain on TV.
Joey Mercury is still in rehab in Atlanta. Mercury is expected to still have a job with WWE when he is released. There remains no word on if he will remain on Smackdown or get switched to Raw.
Justin Credible has not been suspended by WWE, but isn't being used. As of now, his situation was described as sitting at home and still being paid. The feeling within WWE is that Credible was pulled from the road and will stay off ECW TV until they plan to reintroduce him down the line with an actual direction to his character. His work with CM Punk in ECW was openly praised by Vince McMahon, so he isn't considered to be in a bad spot at all right now.
