  • IPW:UK Return To Swanley, Kent, On October 7th With CAGED WARFARE – LOSER LEAVES IPW:UK!

» To many, the ultimate stipulation match is the CAGE MATCH. A metal structure erected around the ring and designed to cause bloodshed to the competitors, and keep the bout a fair one-on-one contest, where a winner WILL be decided.

IPW:UK has never before held a cage match, in our entire history. But, come October 7th, our first ever IPW-exclusive show in the White Oaks Leisure Centre – that all changes.

To order tickets to this event, or any other IPW:UK event, head over to: http://www.ipwuk.com/tickets/index.shtml, or for full information simply click on to: http://www.ipwuk.com/events/index.shtml!

  • Injury Updates Through The Anniversary Weekender!

» As with any IPW:UK show, the huge rewards come with huge risks. And with some major names out of action until 2007, we’re happy to report that nobody was injured severely enough to also miss the remainder of 2006!

SPUD and JACK STORM suffered painful injuries in the IPW:UK TLC Tag Title match, in which the Dragon Hearts captured the Tag Titles from their long term respective rivals. Spud suffered severe lacerations to his head and arm, as well as a sprained right wrist and ankle. Storm suffered similar injuries to his ankle, and knee, and will be getting it checked out by medics later today.

‘MR. WRESTLING’ KEVIN STEEN suffered an injured hand in his bout with Ashley Reed, but not without injuring Reed’s valet, DONNA with a devastating 450 splash. PETER NIXON suffered a sliced ear and broken nose from his brutal afternoon bout with IPW:UK champ Martin Stone. Nixon put up a brave fight, lasting almost 10-minutes against the champ, in his first proper singles match in almost a year, but eventually the favourite, Stone, won out and completed his 17th IPW:UK title defence.

KRIS LINNELL has suffered a suspected broken hand, but will not be getting his injury checked out and x-rayed until after the Caged Warfare event. He also suffered from a severe migraine from the chair-shot he received on Sunday evening, and didn’t even remember how his match ended with Ashe.

  • Dragon Aisu To Challenge Leroy Kincaide For Extreme Measures Contention!

» With just under four weeks until Extreme Measures 3, three entrants have already been decided. Firstly, ‘Mr. IPW’ Ashley Reed – entered for his consistent performances through 2006. Secondly, James Tighe – entered for defeating Doug Williams this past Saturday evening. And thirdly, either Leroy Kincaide or… Dragon Aisu.

Aisu, who would be making his third IPW appearance (first in Swanley), is a masked machine that has been quoted as ENJOYING having pain inflicted on him, in the form of a hard punch to his skull, or a strong chop to his chest.

On October 7th, however, Aisu finds himself in for a brand new challenge – that of Leroy Kincaide. Kincaide, currently on compassionate suspension from IPW:UK until Caged Warfare, has been training hard and has his game face right back on.

» We can now also confirm that PAUL ROBINSON and AVIV MAAYAN will compete in Extreme Measures 3. Robinson, like Reed, is being rewarded for his consistent 2006, while Maayan is entered due to his strong performances since April, and his former reign as IPW:UK champion.

  • Simmonz Match Off; Reed vs. Pac On!

» In another further update, due to the extreme severity of the break in the ankle of Andy Boy Simmonz, IPW:UK has allowed him as much time off from activity as possible. This, coupled with the fact that Aviv Maayan is said to be at Simmonz’ bedside 5 days out of 7 every week, has led to the unfortunate postponement (but not cancellation) of the Simmonz vs. Duke of Danger match originally set for October 7th.

In an effort to make up for this to IPW:UK fans, we have decided to add a singles contest between two of IPW:UK’s biggest young superstars. Two men who impressed everybody in the locker-room and everybody in attendance this past weekend, PAC and ASHLEY REED.

Reed’s weekend was entirely successful, as not only did he manage to take a huge advantage in his long-running feud with Tony ‘Superstar’ Sefton, but he also chalked up a 6-man victory, and a massive singles victory versus ‘Mr. Wrestling’ Kevin Steen.

Pac was another man who ‘wow’d’ the socks off of many people over the past weekend. While he managed to score two amazing pinfall victories over El Generico in a triple-threat match, and then in the Global Gauntlet, he was also downed by two major players in the IPW:UK Anniversary Weekender – firstly by Martin Stone in an IPW:UK title match, and then by Ultimo Dragon in the Global Gauntlet. Neither of those losses, however, will put even the slightest dampener on Pac – who almost certainly gained more this weekend than in any weekend in his wrestling career so far.

And on October 7th, these two massive shining stars will clash – but which will come out the brightest?

» Another news release will come out shortly, documenting some of the announcements and changes for future shows in full detail.

  • Therefore currently announced for IPW:UK “Caged Warfare", Saturday October 7th, is:

The First Time In IPW:UK History: A Cage Match; Loser Leaves IPW:UK!
    - Ashe (of the New Breed) vs. Kris Linnell

IPW:UK Title Match – No DQ, No Countout - NO RULES
    - Martin Stone (c) vs. Iceman

    - ‘Mr. IPW’ Ashley Reed (w/ Donna) vs. ‘The Man That Gravity Forgot’ Pac

    Extreme Measures Tournament Qualifier
    - Leroy Kincaide vs. Dragon Aisu

Plus much much more. Your referees Andy Quildan & Chris Hatch. Master of Ceremonies, as always, ‘Hardcore’ John Atkins.
