Funk’s Corner - New Funking Conservatory World Champion.
On September 23rd, England’s Reece Royal became to my knowledge the youngest world champion ever in professional wrestling. Reece at the age of only 19 years old won a three way match held under Funking Conservatory Hard Core Rules where anything goes. Reece’s opponents were two year Funking Conservatory World Champion, Johnny Magnum and TV Champion, Blain Rage. Reece began his wrestling career here at the Funking Conservatory last year at the age of 17 traveling from England to Ocala, Florida to learn the “Dory Funk Method of Professional Wrestling.
The Funking Conservatory World Championship (Triple Crown, Hardcore Rules) match in it’s entirety is up on our website on !BANG! TV 24/7 at www.dory-funk.com.
Coming soon, an interview with new Funking Conservatory World Champion, Reece Royal.

“NOTORIOUS 187" HOMICIDE TO MAKE CAPW DEBUT THIS NOVEMBER
Cleveland All-Pro officials have announced the first of what is sure to be several more blockbuster announcements concerning CAPW’s November extravaganza, scheduled for Sunday afternoon, November 5 at Turner’s Hall with a 4:00 pm belltime. Internationally known sensation “The Notorious 187" Homicide will be making his CAPW debut that day, against an opponent to be determined at a later date. Homicide is currently best-known as one half of the current NWA World Tag Team Champions as part of LAX: The Latin American Xchange. Although a no-nonsense brawler on the surface, Homicide has proven himself to be one of the most well-rounded athletes you’ll find anywhere, having the capability to brawl, fly, and wrestle scientifically whenever necessary. He is truly a jack of all trades, and you’ll be able to see him live in Cleveland on November 5.
ZACH GOWEN PREPARING TO HAVE LONG-TERM IMPACT ON CAPW
Perhaps the most inspirational wrestler to come down the pike in recent memory, “Tenacious" Zach Gowen is certainly preparing to defy the odds all over again and rise to the top of another major wrestling promotion, however we can now confirm that “The One Legged Wonder" will certainly be anything but a one hit wonder inside CAPW rings. Gowen is currently scheduled to compete for Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling throughout the rest of 2006, certainly already planning long-term for the arduous task of battling through the stiff competition of CAPW. Gowen has spent the past several weeks readying himself, both mentally and physically, for the road ahead, and Gowen certainly intends to rise to the occasion once again. However, as we’ve touched on, Josh Prohibition is determined to stop Gowen from using him as the starting point of his Cleveland-area success. Josh has also spent several weeks extensively training, and seems more determined than ever . Following his time-limit draw with M-Dogg 20 a few weeks ago, Josh certainly has the pressure on him as well to come out victorious. October 8th, with the special 5:00 pm belltime, Prohibition has the chance to end Gowen’s storybook success story before we even reach page 1.

Samoa Joe vs. American Dragon
If you were going to select the two most dominant titleholders in professional wrestling in this decade, the names of “Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe and “American Dragon" Bryan Danielson would assuredly be near the top of the list most every time. Bryan Danielson is currently the most dominant individual in the Ring of Honor promotion, having held that title for nearly an entire year, dazzling fans and peers alike on the way with his unmatched technical skill and unwavering dedication to his craft. However, Samoa Joe not only dominated the Ring of Honor promotion with a near two-year long title reign, he also wreaked havoc in TNA’s X Division, capturing the X Division Title on 2 separate occasions, and was never pinned in championship matches, or any TNA match at all. These two near-unstoppable entities will collide in a battle to determine supreme dominance and superiority. But with Danielson maintaining a grueling schedule and working through a potentially severe shoulder injury how will the dynamic to this match change in the weeks to come?
CAPW Television Championship - Buff Bagwell vs. Jason Bane
The path of destruction caused by the 6’6" 330 lb. suplex machine, Jason Bane, has claimed nothing but victims and casualties since the re-introduction of Bane as a singles star, and of the CAPW Television Title. Bane has fought seemingly insurmountable odds, tamed a Man Beast, and flattered all who come before him with the Baneline. But now, he opposes one of the most decorated and popular athletes to step foot in a CAPW ring. Buff “The Stuff" Bagwell is largely considered a tag team specialist, capturing several World Tag Titles with numerous different partners, but now Buff is in pursuit of singles glory. Bagwell has consistently been one of CAPW’s most popular attractions but can the support of his fans save Buff Bagwell from the hell Jason Bane prepares to unleash?
Zach Gowen vs. Josh Prohibition
Zach Gowen is truly one of the most remarkable and inspirational individuals to ever enter the wrestling industry. A man who entered professional wrestling against all odds, undersized and overlooked, Zach Gowen persevered and rose to the top of his field in spite of his critics…and did it all with only one leg. Undaunted, Gowen went from being told he couldn’t do it, to appearing on national television alongside the likes of Hogan, Piper, and McMahon. Now, the “One Legged Wonder" embarks on a new mission as he makes his CAPW debut. However, Josh Prohibition is determined to remain a dominant force in Cleveland All-Pro and end the feel-good story of Zach Gowen’s CAPW career before it even begins. Will Prohibition be a great enough force to silence the tenacious Gowen, or will Gowen rise up to the occasion and overcome yet another obstacle?
CAPW Heavyweight Title: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Conrad Kennedy III
The champion makes his return to Cleveland to once again defend the CAPW Title. “Double C" has looked unstoppable as the premiere titleholder in CAPW, and has proven he is more than just a “company champion" as he continues to defend against not only CAPW’s top challengers, but some of the most impressive outside competition found anywhere. Such is the case when Castagnoli defends against Conrad Kennedy III, who has gained a very impressive reputation in recent times whether it’s dominating promotions throughout the mid-west, or becoming one of the newest most-talked about stars of Ring of Honor. CK3 hopes to add to his growing resume by being the man to dethrone Castagnoli on October 8.
CAPW Tag Team Championship - JT Lightning & Chris Cronus (c)vs. Super Oprah & Carlton Kaz
Super Oprah is not an easy person to prepare for. Her androgyny and promiscuousness are enough to make anyone at least a little bit uncomfortable, most of all seeming to be Oprah’s unlikely tag team partner “Simply the Best" Carlton Kaz. But whatever bizarre circumstances brought Kaz & Oprah together, it’s been a winning combination, as the duo seem unbeatable in CAPW rings. Now they receive a tag team title shot at the powerhouse Chris Cronus and the veteran JT Lightning, with Krystal Frost by his side as always. But if the deafening calls of “JT Sucks" throw the tag champions completely off their game, what will happen when they catch a glimpse of Super Oprah? And what happens if Oprah and Krystal Frost cross paths?
CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Championship - Matt Stryker (c) vs. Johnny Gargano
If you’re talking about dominant mat tacticians in CAPW in 2006, you have to be talking about Stryker & Gargano. Matt Stryker has been unbeatable for months upon months and has been untouchable as Jr. Heavyweight Champion. Johnny Gargano has quickly come into his own this year, and has proven he is to say the least wise beyond his years between those ropes. Gargano is one of very few men who has outwrestled Alex Shelley, and here he hopes to do the same to another of the absolute best mat grapplers in Stryker. The Jr. Heavyweight Title may never have been in greater danger of leaving Stryker’s waist than it is now.
Grudge Match - Da Munchies vs. The Aftermath & Tiger Young
These two teams battled just a few short weeks ago and before it was all said and done, the match became too chaotic to control and was thrown out, and Dick Trimmins had his forehead severely lacerated. Both teams were eager to agree to a return bout, not only to finish their past issues but because this match-up could very well determine the next challengers to tag team gold.
Faith In Nothing vs Zak Vincent & Chris Kahn
The duo of Christian Faith & Vincent Nothing made a big-time impact at “September Slaughter", not only scoring a tag team victory that put them right back into potential tag title contention, they also showed the courage to accept the challenge from “The Monster" Abyss and “The Alpha Male" Monty Brown. However, we’ve seen the duo of Kahn & Vincent impress in the past, and it’ll be their opportunity to catapult into tag title contention as well.
Chris Kole vs N8 Mattson
N8 Mattson is one of the most decorated and successful stars in the Michigan area, having captured countless regional championships and stepped foot in the ring with some of the sport’s all time greats. Chris Kole, however, is one of the most decorated and successful stars in the Ohio area, having also captured regional championships and stepped foot in the ring with countless great throughout the United States and abroad. It will be a supreme gut-check when these two storied careers cross paths in Cleveland.
Also, special bonus attractions will see The Bouncer clash with “Megastar" Marion Fontaine, and also Barry Sagittarius squares off with Matthew Justice.
