UFC President Dana White on talks with Kurt Angle; Daniel Puder rumor
On Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 6:03 PM EST UFC President Dana White recently commented on talks with Kurt Angle about entering the world of MMA after being released by World Wrestling Entertainment in an interview with Alex Marvez.
When Angle's signing with TNA Wrestling was announced, White lost interest. "I wouldn't hire someone who is doing both," said White. "I would never blow that line. You're either a fighter or an actor."
White had reportedly considered matching Angle against Daniel Puder in a UFC match that stemmed from a legitimate altercation between the two in WWE back in 2004. Puder had caught Angle with a submission maneuver during a "wrestling challenge" on the Tough Enough competition, which gained lots of attention in the wrestling world. As noted before, Angle appears to have no plans to enter MMA and more than likely used talks to distract wrestling fans from any possibility that he was returning to pro wrestling.
