Vince McMahon appeared on the returning "Byte This" program this afternoon on WWE.com where he discussed a number of topics including Kurt Angle's release from WWE & his decision to return to wrestling under TNA, the possibility of Hulk Hogan vs. Steve Austin taking place, Eric Bischoff's new book, WWE Films, the ECW brand and more.

Here are some highlights:

- When asked if Kurt Angle's departure from WWE hurt the company, McMahon agreed and mentioned how Angle had a strong competitive streak and probably the most of anyone he has ever known. He added that because of that, it will lead to his demise. McMahon said Angle could never say no and that he pushes his body to extreme limits. He said while Angle leaving WWE was a big loss, his real concern was for his health. When asked about Angle going to work for a "competitor", McMahon said he would have liked to have seen Angle take time off before getting back in the ring. He added the door was still wide open for Angle to return to WWE.

- McMahon said he doesn't think Hulk Hogan vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin will ever happen, bringing up their age and the amount of injuries both have gone through. He added that Hogan's recent visit to WWE Headquarters was pretty much just for the cameras for the "Hogan Knows Best" reality series.

- He said he has yet to read Eric Bischoff's new book and added that it will no doubt be Bischoff's version of the story and said that everyone likes to rewrite history in their own way. McMahon said Bischoff's claim that the AOL-Time Warner merger resulted in the death of WCW might have been true, but felt that since the company was losing $85 million that if the company had been making money at the time, they would have worked to make it fit the new vision.

- When asked about the "The Marine" and WWE Films, McMahon said the plot for the movie is not hard and that it is just a solid action adventure. He noted that the creation of WWE Films took place because they already tell stories in wrestling and felt getting into the movie business was the next logicial extension of what they do right now.

- McMahon said the ECW brand is doing well, but said it was a long way from where it could be. He said some of the matches are "stuntfests and car wrecks" and felt people are watching it, but don't truly care about who is in the ring. McMahon said once they get the fans to care about ECW and the people involved, it will go far. He added that ECW could be going two hours in the future, but is more concerned with making a "one hour" show the best thing possible right now and building up the roster.
