HUGE NEWS FROM SUNDAY: TWO NEW CHAMPIONS CROWNED

It was a afternoon of unexpected endings and exciting new beginnings this past Sunday at Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling’s live event at Turner’s Hall. History was made as two championships changed hands in a single calendar day, and the circumstances surrounding both situations were unpredictable to say the least.

Firstly, CAPW officials had the difficult task of deciding to strip Matt Stryker of the CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title, citing an inability to defend the championship within the allotted period of time. As a result, CAPW took four of the top Junior Heavyweights in the world and put them into one ring at one time to determine the true best of their weight class. In the end, the prodigy of the CAPW roster, 19-year-old Johnny Gargano outlasted the tenacious Zach Gowen, as well as former partners and current rivals M-Dogg 20 and Josh Prohibition, to capture the Jr. Title, enabling the spotlight to shine solely and brightly on Gargano, something Gargano has been desperately searching for for much of the calendar year.

While one championship was decided on the spirit of competition, the other was decided based on ego and opportunity. After successfully defending the CAPW Tag Titles against Carlton Kaz & Super Oprah Mustafa, an overconfident JT Lightning stood in the ring alongside partner Chris Cronus and advisor Krystal Frost and laid out a challenge to any tag team to face them right then and there. More than prepared to answer the challenge were Faith In Nothing, Christian Faith & Vincent Nothing, the team Lightning & Cronus defeated to capture the CAPW Tag Titles some months ago. Faith In Nothing took full advantage of the fatigue of Lightning & Cronus and scored an emphatic victory in just a couple of minutes to capture the titles and make a big-time statement to everyone else in the CAPW tag team division.

MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR NOVEMBER 5: WHEN HERO MEETS HOMICIDE

Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling returns to Turner’s Hall, 7325 Guthrie, Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, on Sunday afternoon, November 5, back at our regular 4 p.m. belltime. This WILL be a taping for CAPW TV on Sports Time Ohio, so be prepared to show your enthusiasm for CAPW and be seen in thousands of homes throughout the area.

CAPW officials have announced the first matches to be signed for this already colossal card:

Chris Hero vs. Homicide
Another in the continuing like of dream match attractions presented by Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling. Hero makes his return to CAPW after a lengthy absence to go one-on-one with former NWA World Tag Team Champion “The Notorious 187" Homicide of the Latin American Xchange. Homicide is one of the most intimidated athletes in the business today, and also one of the most well-rounded, with the ability to wrestle, fly, or brawl at the drop of a hat. However, the current one-half of the ROH Tag Champs Chris Hero won’t be intimidated. Hero has almost single-handedly waged war against entire promotions as of late, and views Homicide as the latest mountain to climb. Hero vs. Homicide will be a match not soon forgotten, and it takes place Sunday November 5.

CAPW Heavyweight Title: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Nigel McGuiness
“Double C" continues to take on all-comers from around the world to establish himself as truly one of the greatest champions in CAPW history. His challenge this month comes from a man CAPW fans, and certainly Claudio himself, are no stranger to. The man who’s in it to win it, Nigel McGuiness attempts to capture Cleveland’s ultimate prize. This is far from the first time these two Europeans will meet, and surely won’t be the last. There’s a lot of competitive pride existing between these two men, and when the CAPW Title is at stake, the competition between these two men will likely be on a level never seen before.

CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title: Johnny Gargano vs. Zach Gowen
Johnny Gargano outlasted Gowen, M-Dogg 20, and Josh Prohibition in a four-way match to capture the vacant Jr. Title on October 8. Gargano now has what he’s spent several months craving…a major championship and a ton of spotlight directly on him and him alone. However, will Gargano able to keep that spotlight amidst the very worthy contenders clamoring for a championship opportunity. One such contender is the “One Legged Wonder" Zach Gowen. A man who’s spent his entire life defying the odds and proving people wrong, certainly doesn’t appreciate someone like Gargano thinking he’s better than him, or better than everyone else for that matter. Can Gowen humble the new Jr. Champ and continue his quest to defy the odds and make a major impact here in CAPW?

CAPW Television Title: Jason Bane vs. Chris Cage
Bane’s path of dominance continues. After outlasting over thirty men to win the TV Title, and defeating Rhino to retain it, Bane added former multi-time WCW Titleholder Buff Bagwell to his list of victims en route to another successful title defense. On November 5, Bane defends against a man making his CAPW debut in Chris Cage. Cage spent a lengthy period of time as one of the star attractions of Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in Louisville, the developmental farm system to World Wrestling Entertainment, even capturing the OVW Title in the past. Now Cage, a native of Youngstown, invades CAPW to attempt to add another title to his resume, but can he survive the near paralyzing effects of a 300+ pound Baneline?

More matches will be announced in the coming weeks. Stay posted to www.capw.net for more information!

IPW:UK TELEVISION ON THE WRESTLING CHANNEL - THIS FRIDAY NIGHT, 11PM, LATE NIGHT UNCENSORED!

On IPW:UK TV episode six, you will find:-

Paul Robinson takes Marty Scurll

After last week's amazing 2-to-1 fall victory over 'Mr. IPW' Ashley Reed, Paul Robinson's stock in UK wrestling and specifically IPW:UK rose a hell of a lot. Coming back from an absolutely ludicrous beating from the man the fans call Mr. IPW, Robinson overturned a 1-fall deficit and came out the conclusive winner.

This week, Robinson takes on another young Under 23 wrestler by the name of MartyScurll. Scurll, a smart Cambridge native, is making his IPW:UK debut. In luminous
lime green shorts however, you're not likely to be confused as to who he is when you next see him on IPW:UK TV.

Fact: Marty Scurll and Paul Robinson have wrestled regularly on the British circuit before, and have in fact tagged together in the past. This is their first IPW:UK clash.

Tag Action: The Hated Heroes vs. The Dragon Hearts

The match scheduled for 2 weeks ago finally occurs. After Spud was taken out of action backstage, the scheduled Hated Heroes (Andy Boy Simmonz/Aviv Maayan) vs. Dragon Hearts (Spud/Dragon Phoenix) match turned into a singles contest between Phoenix and Maayan, with Maayan coming out the victor on that occasion.

Fast-forward to this week, and Spud is now back and ready to roll. We saw the formation of the Hated Heroes right here on IPW:UK TV, we saw the debut of the Dragon Hearts right here on IPW:UK TV, and now we get to see what could be one of the most interesting tag matches of the year right here on IPW:UK TV.

Fact: Andy Boy Simmonz last week announced that he may be retiring from pro wrestling. Next week's scheduled IPW:UK TV has been altered, and will now be a look back on some of the best bits of his career.

Non-IPW:UK Tag Title Match: The Untouchables (c) vs. Takeshi Morishima & Mohammed Yone

Two stars of the orient, this is Mohammed Yone & Takeshi Morishima's IPW:UK debut. Coming in from Pro Wrestling NOAH as part of the UK touring initiative, this was both men's last appearance in the UK, and remains as such to this date. At time of filming, both men were also in fact the NOAH Tag Team Champions. Tonight, with neither set of belts on the line, they face off against IPW:UK's best, our tag champions, The Untouchables.

Having successfully defended their titles against former champions AK47 just two weeks ago on IPW:UK TV, The Untouchables have actually managed to find themselves
wound up against an even tougher challenge, in the hard hitting men from Pro Wrestling NOAH.

Can Storm and Moralez avoid the Muscle Buster from Yone? Will Morishima be downed by The Untouchables' leg & arm lariat combo?

Fact: The name 'The Untouchables' actually refers to the four-man stable of Jack Storm, Dave Moralez and IPW:UK Champion Martin Stone & Jonny Storm.

And much more, as well as full information on what you can see next week (first airdate Friday October 20th) on IPW:UK TV.
