Big thanks to Alfonso Garcia for sending in the following results:

Hey guys. I just got back from the Raw and Smackdown tapings at Staples Center. I took notes throughout so I could give you guys a good, detailed account of what happened.

The doors opened at around 6:45, and we got in fairly quickly and were in our seats by 7:05.

A video played which essentially played WWE off as a corporate and cultural phenomonon. Then Lilian Garcia came out to sing the national anthem. She then announced the bonus match for the evening.

Chris Benoit vs Sylvan - Typical methodical Benoit squash, full of stiff chops and suplexes. The match ended after a flying headbutt and a crippler crossface.

JR and Jerry Lawler came out to their announce positons, and the snazzy new Raw intro played. We were then into the live Raw taping.

WWE Monday Night Raw Tapings (October 16):

Randy Orton and Edge came out dressed as HHH and Shawn Michaels respectively. Orton was dancing and flopping around while Edge had on a fake nose. They ran down the fans for rushing to buy DX merchandise (and there me and my girlfriend were sitting in our brand new DX Reunion Tour shirts). Then, the real DX came out to a MONSTER pop. HHH said Edge was the highest rated superstar in WWE history. He then showed a picture of Edge in only his underwear during the live sex celebration and claimed "Looks like Lita could only get you half aroused" He then claimed Orton was the most downloaded person on the world wide web...in the gay community. HHH then showed pictures of Orton in only a towel, and even suck in a picture of Shawn in Playgirl ("You told me girls read it!). Orton the challenged HHH to a match that evening which was accepted. A Brawl ensued and DX cleared the ring.

The Spirit Squad vs Cryme Tyme - Kenny and Mitch were tagging for the SS. Cryme Tyme was entertaining and looked impressive, save a botched hip toss at the match's beginning. Cryme Tyme won after a really neat samoan drop/neckbreaker maneuver.

King Booker was backstage talking to the Coach when Cryme Tyme came in raving over their win. After they left, Booker realized they had taken his wallet. Funny stuff.

Intercontinental Title: Jeff Hardy (c) vs Chris Masters vs Super Crazy vs Shelton Benjamin
Fairly standard match as far as far as fatal for ways are concerned. Hardy picked up the win after a Swanton on Masters.

Nitro and Melina came out, promising to bring out an "A-list celebrity" They were proven to be liars as they instead brought out Kevin Federline. He was welcomed with a well-deserved cascade of boos. He ran us down, claiming we should show respect for him and Nitro. You know what's sad? He can work the mic better then Nitro (which isn't saying much) The shilling of his latest CD was mercifully halted by John Cena, who was greeted with a mega ovation. Cena then said he would dust off the old mic and grace "K-Fed" with a little rap. After ending it with a comment about "spearing Britney" Nitro got in Cena's face and was quickly disposed of. The Big Show and King Booker then came out, followed my Mr. McMahon and his big anouncement. He said that the fans would decide what belt would be up for grabs in the "Champion of Champions" match (so essentially, the fans are voting for the winner of the match because a belt switch here seems highly unlikely, IMO)

Rob Conway vs Carlito - Quick and painless. Carlito ended matters swiftly with a back cracker.

Backstage, McMahon makes DX vs Edge/Orton for Cyber Sunday. Edge says the fans should vote on th special referee of the match, throwing Eric Bischoff, the Coach, and even McMahon as candidates. It intrigues McMahon who says he will think about it.

In probably the funniest moment of the night, Todd Grisham welcomed Steve-O and Chris Pontius of "Jackass" fame to the ring. They were interrupted by Arrrrrrrrrrrrrmando Alejandrrrrrrrrro Estrrrrrrrrrrrrada. He said that he heard they do some crazy things. Steve-O said they could handle anything. So Estrada brings out Umaga. This is where the hilarity began. Umaga quickly hit Pontius with a samoan drop, kicking Steve-O down in the process. Umaga begins to leave the ring, but he sees Steve-O laughing at Pontius. This enrages Umaga who his Steve-O with some really stiff shots, then hit him with a top rope splash. Steve-O's response? Laughter. Umaga then hit him with some stiff punches, then picked him up by his pants and slammed him down. That stopped the laughing. Absolutely hilarious and you could see the refs telling him to sell the pain walking up the ramp.

Bra and Panties: Maria vs Victoria vs Candice vs Victoria
Winner gets a spot in the semifinals of the Women's Title tourny. Maria suprisingly won after stripping Torrie.

HHH vs Orton
Very good match with interferenece from Lita and Shawn. The end came when Shawn hit Orton with a low blow, and a chair shot. No pedigree though. Orton did seem to be injured though as refs were helping him out to the show.

The taping ended there as DX high fived the fans. HHH tried to get some girls to flash him, but Shawn quickly got him out of there. Just a really good show.

WWE SmackDown Tapings (October 20):

JBL and Michael Cole come right out after DX leaves. Tony Chimel comes out for announcing duties and gets the crowd going. A fireworks displey follows and the camera are rolling.

MVP vs Kane - Nice ovation for Kane (boy can you feel the fire!). A lot of "Pow-er Ran-ger ::clapclapclapclapclap::" chants for MVP and his hideous ring attire. The match ended when Kane set him up for the chokeslam, but took a low blow resulting in the DQ. MVP then ran from the ring.

Elijah Burke vs Vito - The match was every bit as entertaining as you would think it to be. Vito ran around in the dress, got some moves in, but ultimately lost in a snoozer. Next.

William Regal then cut a promo backstage claiming he was sick of being King Booker's lackey. He said that would change now with his new friend, Dave Taylor

William Regal and Dave Taylor vs Scotty 2 Hotty and Funaki
This was a squash that went waaaaaay too long. The crowd crapped all over it and there were numerous "Boring" chants.Taylor ended matters with a nifty little rolling tiger suplex. Yeesh, three yawners in a row.

I Quit Match: Rey Mysterio vs Chavo Guererro
Ah, now this was much, much better. They worked a very rough, physical match. Rey dominated early, but Chavo came back. The match ended behind the stage when Rey got caught up hanging upside down on the set. Chavo just wailed on Rey's leg (which he was working on the whole match) with a chair, and Rey quit after about 6 shots.

Gregory Helms was taunting Matt Hardy backstage about Hardy's lack of championsip gold. Theodore Long then said Helms would be able to prove what a great champion he was tonight...against The Undertaker!

Undertaker vs Gregory Helms
This was my first WWE event, and I completely marked out when the Undertaker came out. Just amazing. Mr. Kennedy came in to interfere but 'Taker handled him. The match ended with a chokeslam and a Tombstone. Kennedy got a chokeslam for his efforts.

Diva Dance-off
Yawwwwwn. The Miz hosted and brought Aaron and Nick Carter out as judges (again, more boos). Layla ended up winning but I didn't really care. No one else in the crowd seemed to either.

World Title: King Booker (c) vs Batista - John Cena and Big Show came and sat at ringside. A lot of back and forth between Booker and Batista and it was a fun match. When action spilled to the outside, Batista inadvertantly ran into the Big Show. The end came when Big Show attacked Batista, causing the DQ. Cena made the save and he and Batista cleared the ring. Theodore Long then made a tag match for next week's Smackdown: Batista/Cena vs Booker/Big Show

Tony Chimel thanked us for coming and that was a wrap on the show.

Biggest Pops
1. DX
2. The Undertaker
3. Rey Mysterio

Most Heat
1. Kevin Federline
2. Randy Orton and Edge
3. Aaron and Nick Carter

What this show told me is there is a huuuuuge difference in quality between Raw and Smackdown. While Raw was wall-to-wall fun, Smackdown was mostly boring and the crowd was sittting on their hands through most of it. But because of the amazing Raw show, we all had an amazing time.

Thank you to everyone at WrestleView for all your awesome work on the site. I'm glad I could contribute in a small way!
