MCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: TEAM 3D vs. BRUISER & GENESIS

MCW will presented its' first live event in Delaware in nearly 5 years, on Friday, November 10th, at the Exhibit Hall at the State Fairgrounds in Harrington, DE. And now, they return, to face Bruiser & Genesis in a rematch. However, this time, it will be for the MCW Tag Team Championship. Kaiju Big Battel (spelling error deliberate) presents Shpadoinkel Mania XVIII live at the Boston Avalon this Friday.

Kaiju Big Battel features Godzilla style monsters settling their differences in the ring. Most of the Kaiju are grouped into factions such as “Team Hero," “Team Space Bug," and the all sea monster team “The Sea Amigos." Events are known as Battels and matches are known as Fightos, making fun of common Japanese-English translation errors. The ring is littered with cardboard buildings ala Godzilla. Specific characters include the giant banana luchador Pedro Plantain, a pair of evil monkeys collectively known as The Apes of Wrath, and the reigning Kaiju Grand Champion, a Chinese factory worker turned martial arts master soup-can-with-arms-and-legs: Kung Fu Chicken Noodle. The whole thing is called by senior (i.e. only) announcer Louden Noxious (imagine if Joey Styles and Michael Cole had a son who stole Don King’s hair).

Since they only put on a show once every few months, KBB makes use of creative methods of storyline advancement. These include massive storytelling on their website and podcast matches. That’s right, these guys produce matches on a radio show. The most recent podcast featured 52 wrestlers (one from each state plus Guam & the US Virgin Is.), including Arkansas representative Bill Clinton, in a battle royal on top of the Taipei 101 building where the goal was to toss your opponent off the roof to their certain death on the street below. You just can’t do this on live TV.

This all leads to Shpadoinkel Mania XVIII (in truth, the first time this event name has been used). The card is as follows:

1. Taipei 101 winner vs. Giii

The Podcast battle royal winner not only won a KBB contract, but gets to face the evil three eyed space pirate Giii. This coming on the heels of Giii putting Team Hero rookie Hero Intern out of commission. Can the newest beast on the block defeat the merciless monster from beyond the stars?

2. Apes of Wrath vs. Sea Amigos (Tag Title Match)

After years of the fans demanding it, the mysterious silhouette known only as The Kaiju Commissioner has created a tag title for KBB. Fighting to become the first ever Kaiju Tag Team Champions will be Hell Monkey and The Grunyin, going up against ocean dwellers Unibouzu and D. W. Cycloptopus III. It’s jungle vs. ocean in the DangerZone.

3. Pedro Plantain vs. Silver Potato (Amazon street fight)

The Idaho icon Silver Potato used to be the best of the good guys. But after being kidnaped and brainwashed by KBB’s top villain Dr. Cube, Silver Potato has become a card carrying bad guy (If the newly black boots didn’t tip you off) and killed Pedro’s twin brother & tag partner Pablo Plantain with a machete to the back. This match is all about revenge.

4. ???? vs. ???? (Mystery Match)

Main Event: Kung Fu Chicken Noodle vs. ???? (Kaiju Grand Championship Match)

In his last fighto, the champ defended his title and earned the right to name his next opponent. The problem is, he’s kept it secret from everyone. Will it be astronaut turned Martian hero Neo Teppen? How about Team Space Bug leader Uchu Chu? Maybe the disco dancing jobber from the future Super Wrong?
