CHRIS HERO SPEAKS ON UPCOMING CLASH WITH HOMICIDE
As we mentioned last week, Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling’s special attraction on Sunday afternoon November 5 at Turner’s Hall in Cleveland, Ohio pits current one-half of the ROH Tag Team Champions Chris Hero going one-on-one with former NWA World Tag Team Champion “The Notorious 187" Homicide of the Latin American Xchange.
Chris Hero was not shy about commenting on the upcoming match at our past live event as he seconded CAPW Heavyweight Champion Claudio Castagnoli, and Hero was equally as vocal when a member of our staff caught up with the controversial “King of Wrestling" earlier in the week. Hero offered us the following comments…
"Well it's been a while since I've been in a Cleveland All Pro ring and November 5th, I'm gonna have my hands full with the Notorious 187, Homicide. Now he may be one of the toughest men I've faced, but the last time I checked, it said Professional WRESTLING on the marquee, not Professional Fighting. My superior wrestling will show Homicide and everyone in attendance at Turner‘s Hall why people from all around call me one of the best wrestlers alive."
CAPW staff were unable to reach Homicide for comment due to extensive preparations he is undergoing for both his match with Chris Hero, as well as an upcoming match this weekend on TNA PPV. Sources close to Homicide say “The Notorious 187" was irate when told about Chris Hero’s comments and will be headed to Cleveland to extract revenge as only he can.
TWO MATCHES ADDED TO NOVEMBER 5 LIVE EVENT
Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling returns to Turner’s Hall, 7325 Guthrie, Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, on Sunday afternoon, November 5, back at our regular 4 p.m. belltime. This WILL be a taping for CAPW TV on Sports Time Ohio, so be prepared to show your enthusiasm for
CAPW and be seen in thousands of homes throughout the area.
Just added to the card…
M-DOGG 20 vs. JOSH PROHBITION
Two months ago these longstanding partners/rivals made their returns to CAPW in one-on-one competition against each other in a very competitive match, that unfortunately ended in a time limit draw. This past month, both M-Dogg and Josh competed against Johnny Gargano and Zach Gowen in a four-way match to declare a vacant Jr. Heavyweight Champion. The paths of these former partners crossed several times during that encounter, but once again nothing was settled. November 5 these two men collide once more in the hopes of settling the latest chapter of their longstanding competitive rivalry and perhaps determining the next top contender to the Jr. Title now held by Johnny Gargano.
CAPW TAG TEAM TITLES: FAITH IN NOTHING vs. IRISH AIRBORNE
Christian Faith & Vincent Nothing shocked the world just under two weeks ago, when they accepted an open challenge from an ego-driven tag team championship duo of JT Lightning & Chris Cronus. Faith & Nothing steamrolled through the champions, who had already competed beforehand, en route to capturing the titles from the very team that defeated them to win the gold some weeks earlier. Faith & Nothing’s first defense comes against perhaps the most prolific team in the state of Ohio: Jake & Dave Crist, The Irish Airborne, a team that has made major waves in Ring of Honor as of late. Faith & Nothing are certainly in high risk of becoming shortest reigning tag champions in recent memory based on this first challenge.
Already announced on the card…
Chris Hero vs. Homicide
Another in the continuing like of dream match attractions presented by Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling. Hero makes his return to CAPW after a lengthy absence to go one-on-one with former NWA World Tag Team Champion “The Notorious 187" Homicide of the Latin American Xchange. Homicide is one of the most intimidated athletes in the business today, and also one of the most well-rounded, with the ability to wrestle, fly, or brawl at the drop of a hat. However, the current one-half of the ROH Tag Champs Chris Hero won’t be intimidated. Hero has almost single-handedly waged war against entire promotions as of late, and views Homicide as the latest mountain to climb. Hero vs. Homicide will be a match not soon forgotten, and it takes place Sunday November 5.
CAPW Heavyweight Title: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Nigel McGuiness
“Double C" continues to take on all-comers from around the world to establish himself as truly one of the greatest champions in CAPW history. His challenge this month comes from a man CAPW fans, and certainly Claudio himself, are no stranger to. The man who’s in it to win it, Nigel McGuiness attempts to capture Cleveland’s ultimate prize. This is far from the first time these two Europeans will meet, and surely won’t be the last. There’s a lot of competitive pride existing between these two men, and when the CAPW Title is at stake, the competition between these two men will likely be on a level never seen before.
CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title: Johnny Gargano vs. Zach Gowen
Johnny Gargano outlasted Gowen, M-Dogg 20, and Josh Prohibition in a four-way match to capture the vacant Jr. Title on October 8. Gargano now has what he’s spent several months craving…a major championship and a ton of spotlight directly on him and him alone. However, will Gargano able to keep that spotlight amidst the very worthy contenders clamoring for a championship opportunity. One such contender is the “One Legged Wonder" Zach Gowen. A man who’s spent his entire life defying the odds and proving people wrong, certainly doesn’t appreciate someone like Gargano thinking he’s better than him, or better than everyone else for that matter. Can Gowen humble the new Jr. Champ and continue his quest to defy the odds and make a major impact here in CAPW?
CAPW Television Title: Jason Bane vs. Chris Cage
Bane’s path of dominance continues. After outlasting over thirty men to win the TV Title, and defeating Rhino to retain it, Bane added former multi-time WCW Titleholder Buff Bagwell to his list of victims en route to another successful title defense. On November 5, Bane defends against a man making his CAPW debut in Chris Cage. Cage spent a lengthy period of time as one of the star attractions of Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in Louisville, the developmental farm system to World Wrestling Entertainment, even capturing the OVW Title in the past. Now Cage, a native of Youngstown, invades CAPW to attempt to add another title to his resume, but can he survive the near paralyzing effects of a 300+ pound Baneline?
