Cleveland All-Pro this Sunday, November 5, + ACW ''Redemption'' notes
On Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 6:15 PM EST Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling sent this in:
Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling Newsline: November 2, 2006
MAJOR TNA STAR RETURN ON THE HORIZON
The attention of the wrestling world in the state of Ohio and beyond will be on our extraordinary event this Sunday afternoon November 5, at Turner’s Hall, featuring, among other attractions, one half of the NWA World Tag Team Champions Homicide one-on-one with one-half of the current ROH Tag Team Champions Chris Hero. Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling, as always, makes sure the hits just keep on coming, as another international superstar has been confirmed for a CAPW live event.
It will be Sunday afternoon, December 3, right back at Turner’s Hall in Cleveland, where we will see the area return of “The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels! Daniels, along with AJ Styles, has spent 2006 as one of the most entertaining and successful tag teams in the industry today, and also re-captured the TNA X Division Title during the calendar year. Now, the man who claims to be God’s gift to wrestling is back in the Cleveland area and right here in CAPW. Details on Daniels’ opposition and the rest of the outstanding card for December 3 will be available right here as early as next week.
CAPW Newsline is also investigating a story involving a much-anticipated return to CAPW that would have major ramifications on CAPW’s tag team division. More information in the coming weeks…
THIS SUNDAY: CAPW PRESENTS ‘WHEN HERO MEETS HOMCIDE’
Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling returns to Turner’s Hall, 7325 Guthrie, Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, on Sunday afternoon, November 5, back at our regular 4 p.m. belltime. This WILL be a taping for CAPW TV on Sports Time Ohio, so be prepared to show your enthusiasm for CAPW and be seen in thousands of homes throughout the area.
Chris Hero vs. Homicide
Another in the continuing like of dream match attractions presented by Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling. Hero makes his return to CAPW after a lengthy absence to go one-on-one with former NWA World Tag Team Champion “The Notorious 187" Homicide of the Latin American Xchange. Homicide is one of the most intimidated athletes in the business today, and also one of the most well-rounded, with the ability to wrestle, fly, or brawl at the drop of a hat. However, the current one-half of the ROH Tag Champs Chris Hero won’t be intimidated. Hero has almost single-handedly waged war against entire promotions as of late, and views Homicide as the latest mountain to climb. Hero vs. Homicide will be a match not soon forgotten, and it takes place Sunday November 5.
CAPW Heavyweight Title: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Nigel McGuiness
“Double C" continues to take on all-comers from around the world to establish himself as truly one of the greatest champions in CAPW history. His challenge this month comes from a man CAPW fans, and certainly Claudio himself, are no stranger to. The man who’s in it to win it, Nigel McGuiness attempts to capture Cleveland’s ultimate prize. This is far from the first time these two Europeans will meet, and surely won’t be the last. There’s a lot of competitive pride existing between these two men, and when the CAPW Title is at stake, the competition between these two men will likely be on a level never seen before.
CAPW Jr. Heavyweight Title: Johnny Gargano vs. Zach Gowen
Johnny Gargano outlasted Gowen, M-Dogg 20, and Josh Prohibition in a four-way match to capture the vacant Jr. Title on October 8. Gargano now has what he’s spent several months craving…a major championship and a ton of spotlight directly on him and him alone. However, will Gargano able to keep that spotlight amidst the very worthy contenders clamoring for a championship opportunity. One such contender is the “One Legged Wonder" Zach Gowen. A man who’s spent his entire life defying the odds and proving people wrong, certainly doesn’t appreciate someone like Gargano thinking he’s better than him, or better than everyone else for that matter. Can Gowen humble the new Jr. Champ and continue his quest to defy the odds and make a major impact here in CAPW?
CAPW Television Title: Jason Bane vs. Chris Cage
Bane’s path of dominance continues. After outlasting over thirty men to win the TV Title, and defeating Rhino to retain it, Bane added former multi-time WCW Titleholder Buff Bagwell to his list of victims en route to another successful title defense. On November 5, Bane defends against a man making his CAPW debut in Chris Cage. Cage spent a lengthy period of time as one of the star attractions of Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) in Louisville, the developmental farm system to World Wrestling Entertainment, even capturing the OVW Title in the past. Now Cage, a native of Youngstown, invades CAPW to attempt to add another title to his resume, but can he survive the near paralyzing effects of a 300+ pound Baneline?
CAPW Tag Team Titles: Faith In Nothing vs. Irish Airborne
Christian Faith & Vincent Nothing shocked the world just under two weeks ago, when they accepted an open challenge from an ego-driven tag team championship duo of JT Lightning & Chris Cronus. Faith & Nothing steamrolled through the champions, who had already competed beforehand, en route to capturing the titles from the very team that defeated them to win the gold some weeks earlier. Faith & Nothing’s first defense comes against perhaps the most prolific team in the state of Ohio: Jake & Dave Crist, The Irish Airborne, a team that has made major waves in Ring of Honor as of late. Faith & Nothing are certainly in high risk of becoming shortest reigning tag champions in recent memory based on this first challenge.
M-Dogg 20 vs. Josh Prohibition
Two months ago these longstanding partners/rivals made their returns to CAPW in one-on-one competition against each other in a very competitive match, that unfortunately ended in a time limit draw. This past month, both M-Dogg and Josh competed against Johnny Gargano and Zach Gowen in a four-way match to declare a vacant Jr. Heavyweight Champion. The paths of these former partners crossed several times during that encounter, but once again nothing was settled. November 5 these two men collide once more in the hopes of settling the latest chapter of their longstanding competitive rivalry and perhaps determining the next top contender to the Jr. Title now held by Johnny Gargano.
Conrad Kennedy III vs. Chris Kole
Both men are frequently among the top contenders to the CAPW Championship, and this match will go a long way in determining which of these two will have the upward momentum needed to gain an opportunity at CAPW champion Claudio Castagnoli. CK3 came up narrowly short just one month ago, but certainly impressed in the process. Kole has been in the main event in the past, and certainly is as driven as ever to return there as quickly as possible. While not an official number one contender’s match, this battle could prove the difference between title opportunities for several months to come.
The Bouncer vs. The Hawaiian Lion
We all know what The Bouncer brings to the table. Nearly 300 pounds of raw power and speed and agility rarely seen in an athlete his size. Bouncer is a mainstay in the area for several years, capturing championships and winning over fans on a regular basis. The Hawaiian Lion however, we’re not so knowledgable about. But no matter what the Lion brings to the table, he’ll definitely have his work cut out for him against the man from Klub Xtreme.
Tiger Young & Aftermath challenge JT Lighting & Chris Cronus
In what can only be described as a rather brazen move, the tag team of Tiger Young & The Aftermath have issued an open challenge to former CAPW Tag Team Champions JT Lightning & Chris Cronus, along with their advisor Krystal Frost. If you recall, it was Aftermath and Tiger Young who challenged for JT & Cronus’ tag team titles several weeks ago, only to narrowly lose, thanks in part as always, to both the physical involvement and distraction of Frost. Young & Aftermath were very interested observers earlier this month when Faith In Nothing dethroned JT & Cronus as tag champions, and it appears that the youngsters sense the time is now to re-challenge the former champions and get back in the immediate race for tag team title gold. How will the JT Lightning camp react to this news?
Plus in special bonus attractions to occur before the official belltime:
Da Munchies vs. Hobo Joe & Gregory Iron
Carlton Kaz & Super Oprah vs. Matt Justice & Action Dan Spade
Aftermath & Tiger Young vs. David Dynamite & Cerberus
Tickets for our spectacular are available at Turner’s Hall the day of the event, or at any of our fine ticket outlets listed below. For more information, please visit www.capw.net.

ACW present 'Redemption'
Saturday 11th November 2006,
Hitchin Town Hall,
Brand Street,
Hitchin,
Herts,
SG5 1HX.
HUGE CHALLENGE MADE!
So arrogant and confident is ACW Owner The 'Internet Icon' Petey Staniforth, he has announced that as a stipulation for the 'Loser Wears A Dress' match between his bodyguard Tommy Gunn and opponent Tank, his belief in Gunn is so intense that he has stated that if Gunn was to lose (an impossibility in Staniforth's eyes), Petey HIMSELF will wear a dress on that night.... but not only that night, but also the Children In Need fundraising show that ACW will be staging on the 17th in Bletchley, UK. Has Petey's ego run away with him, or will his confidence be justified? Has power finally warped his mind, or is he just trying to psyche out Tank? And scarily, could we see Petey - the man with quite probably the largest ego in British professional wrestling - ....in a DRESS???!!!
THE MAIN EVENT INTENSIFIES!
The main event on the 11th in Hitchin, UK, is a ladder match for the ACW Heavyweight Championship. It is also a loser leaves town match, pitting new ACW Heavyweight Champion Bull Harley against challenger Samson, who as ever will have Petey Staniforth in his corner. This one is starting to get intense already, with both competitors making threats towards each other, and when asked for a quote, Staniforth screamed "I'm finally going to get RID of Bull Harley once and for all, after 15 months of him making my life hell!".
LIGHTHEAVYWEIGHT MAYHEM!
Announced for the ACW Light Heavyweight Championship, current reigning champion Silver Mask is set to defend against high profile challenger Ashton Brown. This one is set to be fast paced, wild action, with the mysterious masked man from Silverado looking to defeat the always confident Ashton Brown and prove his dominance.
TAG TEAM CURIOUSITY!
The Players Club have always been known as the favourite team of ACW Owner Petey Staniforth, but in what he has called 'in the interests of competition'; Staniforth has booked the Players to face his new client Matt Naylor & and a "mystery partner". What has occured here, can Petey be taken at his word here; or is there much more to this story?
OLD SCHOOL IS STILL COOL!
Recently added to the already stacked card, is a 'World Of Sport' Rules match, with Sam Steel taking on the returning and adored Kid Regis. Both young men are at the peak of their game, and with a respectful nod to British wrestling's glory days; this one will have the best of both worlds for wrestling purists - young talent, and lots of mat wrestling.
OTHER MATCHES ON THE CARD!
Mixed Tag-Team Action
Frantastic & Mia VS Brian Braddock & Jade
Brendon O'Shea VS Lionheart
Humongous VS Dave Sharp
Lewis Cooper VS Vyper
DVD RELEASE IMMINENT!
ACW 'High Spirits 2', from Luton, on October 21st 2006, is set to be released on DVD very soon. Check the ACW website for more information on the DVD release of what many have called ACW's best show of the year.
