Monday Night Mayhem sent in the following recap:

Former WWE superstar & the man who is very much alive & well, the good Corporal Kirschner, along with former WWE/WCW World Tag Team Champion, the MVP of The Alliance, & the man whose name has been circulating the internet for the past few weeks like wildfire, Chris Kanyon, were the special guests on this past week's (10/30/06) live edition of Monday Night Mayhem ("The Halloween Spook-tacular") with The Big Mosh & Blade, which can be heard in streaming audio every week (and live at 9PM ET/8PM CT every Monday night) exclusively on The Monday Night Mayhem Radio Network (www.MondayNightMayhem.com, www.ObsessedWithWrestling.com, www.Dory-Funk.com, www.AllWNYRadio.com & www.AudioWrestling.com - your official home of "The Spring Break Incident" Video-On-Demand, featuring former WWE Diva, Stacy Keibler).

Chris' co-hosting gig, as well as the complete interview with "the undead," is now available to hear for FREE in Real Audio!

Here are some of the highlights from the interview, provided by The Mayhem's co-host, John "The Big Mosh" Masiulionis:

The Big Mosh, Blade, & special guest co-host, Chris Kanyon, all welcomed the good Cpl. to the program, as it was extremely fitting that on All Hallows Eve, a man that was left for dead by his former employer would be on The Mayhem's Halloween "Spook-tacular." Kirschner was very glad to be on the program, especially just a few days after hearing of his own shocking demise.

Mosh started things off by asking the good Corporal that in a business known around the world as a "work" to most wrestling fans, was he surprised that the publication of his death was also a "work?" Not really, was his answer, as he went back to his days in the then WWF (which he dubbed the "Wide World of Fantasy), everything was created & made up -- from superstars, to the feuds, & everything in between. Despite him being out of the loop or several years (and being in good health), he could not believe who would start such a rumor, let along why the WWE would publish that story without doing proper research (such as making phone calls for verification or receiving an obituary).

Kanyon wanted to go on record that he is not surprised that these sorts of internal issues happen within World Wrestling Entertainment, including both what he is going through, as well as Kirschner. Chris described his own dealings with the WWE as "disorganized & unprofessional," and that in some ways his time in WCW was the exact opposite, which many people might not believe. Before Kanyon went on The Howard Stern Show, he did try contacting several people within the WWE (including Mr. McMahon) to no avail. He did that out of respect to the company to see if there was anything they did not want him to discuss or talk about on the air, and not to beg for employment. Chris did speak to one of the Stamford secretaries, and was promised a call back...which never happened. He even tried contacting Stephanie within the past two weeks, and did not hear back from her at all either. What happened to the good Cpl. (and his family in the long run as a result) does not surprise him one bit, and is very sad to see what has happened as a result.

The listening audience might be curious to know that Corporal Kirschner is a truck driver now, and believe it or not, was in the home state of the WWE when the news broke -- as the good Cpl. himself stated "only a few exits away." He smiled & just laughed about the proximity of it all. "I knew my career may be been dead, but I was not expecting this -- before they decided to re-hire me, they are burying me...literally." Kirschner is taking this for all that it is worth, and did admit that he does enjoy the publicity that he is receiving from the press, media, & the fans as well. "Even though I was not looking for this, it's nice being back in the spotlight again." We did ask Cpl. himself if, after all of this, would he ever sign a WWE Legends Contract? Corporal's surprising answer is just a small part of this interview from beyond the grave!

Blade & Mosh asked both Kirschner & Kanyon for their uncensored takes on the whole situation between The Iron Sheik & B. Brian Blair that has been circulating the wrestling scene & the internet over the past few months. Now, everyone does remember the classic matches that the good Cpl. had with Nikolai Volkoff over 20 years ago in the WWF. Just how close was Kirschner to Volkoff's former tag team partner, and what were his memories of working with Nikolai? "The Sheik is a character unto himself, and would fly off the handle if the time keeper was not in the right position" said Kirschner, "and Nikolai was one of the kindest gentle giants you will ever meet -- one of the most powerful men I have ever been in the ring with." He was not privy to any falling out that The Sheik might have had with Blair back in the locker room, but with his "explosive personality," he is not surprised why Sheik would have issues with someone from back in the day in 2006. He did make Mosh & Blade aware that they would have to watch the "bleep button" if The Sheik would come onto the program, as it could get ugly! Kanyon said that he would love to be a moderator between Blair & The Iron Sheik in a debate to settle their issues once and for all...and have it be on The Mayhem's LIVE airwaves. So, if The Sheik or Blair happen to be reading this show/interview recap -- this is an open invitation to air your grievances and reunite for the holiday season!

The Mayhem Crew asked Kanyon & the good Cpl. for a comparison & contrast of how many wrestlers are on some form of performance-enhancing drugs twenty years ago vs. today. Kirschner said that in his day about "99% of the guys were on something, with the other 1% lying." At that point in the '80's, on the heels of the first WrestleMania, as well as "Hulkamania, "everyone was living like rock stars...everyone was sauced up." Kirschner did get pretty descriptive in the "typical day of a WWF superstar," describing the rampant use of cocaine & sleeping pills, which was fit in to working out at a gym & coming/going from the particular town's airport for the day/night. "Some guys used moderation when it came to partying, while others had the candle burning at both ends...which went on for quite some time."

If you wish to hear Kanyon's first public comments against "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair since their now infamous spat on The Howard Stern Show, whether or not he sees himself headed to TNA anytime soon, in addition to Chris' Cyber Sunday PPV picks for tonight's event, we strongly encourage you to listen to the entire 10/30 edition of The Mayhem. We will preface it by saying that Kanyon had some pretty interesting remarks about DX's match against Edge & Randy Orton, who Flair's tag team partner should be, & what he really thinks of The Spirit Squad & Johnny Nitro. Pretty shocking stuff, that you will only find on "Your Home Of Wrestling Radio." The Mayhem also encourages you to check out Chris' official website (www.ChrisKanyon.net) & his official MySpace (www.MySpace.com/ChrisKanyon), where you can find exclusive video of Chris singing the legendary John Lennon tune, "Imagine."

And more goodness is included in this almost-40+ minute interview with the good Cpl. Kirschner, including what he would put on his own "Best Of DVD," how he (along with five other superstars) was suspended from the WWF for failing a random drug test, the real truth about the legendary Hershey, PA doctor (Dr. George Zahorian) that prescribed a good deal of the talent in the company with whatever they requested (as he termed it, "like a kid in a candy store") and who paid for their purchases, how he spent four months in a Japanese prison after a match as Leatherface, & one of the funniest road stories you will ever hear, involving Foster's Australian beer, toilet paper, and sleeping pills. Kirschner was on his toes in this interview -- one that we guarantee you will find both informative & comical at the same time. Some of this interview may shock you!
