Pro's from the Palace (#138) - Responding to Cyber Sunday's main event.

I would venture a bet that every single reader of this column that watched Cyber Sunday is sitting in their chairs after Kevin Federline knocks out John Cena with the World Heavyweight title and saying to themselves,

"Damn, Mike is going to have a fit."

Well, truth be told, I didn't watch Cyber Sunday. I can't afford the PPVs for reasons that we don't need to go in to, but the fact remains is, I am not surprised. Not in the least bit. It's obvious WWE has formed an alliance, partnership, whatever you want to call it with this so called talent, and to have this slimeball have his "way" influenced at the hands of your top money draw, bar none is absolutely proposterous.

And worse yet, it's not over.

Kevin Federline is leading up to a wrestling match with John Cena. It's going to happen, we might as well expect it. Some way, shape or form, Federline and Cena are going to be at opposite ends of the spectrum in a WWE ring, either with Federline managing someone like Johnny Nitro against Cena, or this moron himself will get in the ring and try and sucker the WWE champion.

And, as I write this, because I know, and most of you probably do as well, that it's going to happen, it makes me want to absolutely vomit.

Like I said in the eariler piece, I have to live with WWE promoting this jackass's album, fine. I can deal with that. What I can't deal with, and this HAS ABSOLUTELY ZERO TO DO with the fact that I am a fan of his, is that the WWE has seen fit to put this so called talented rapper, this wanna be Vanilla Ice mullet head over at the expense of the company's top draw. Anyone who doesn't believe John Cena makes WWE a boatload of money is lying to themselves. SO, the question is this.

What the hell is Vince McMahon thinking taking Kevin Federline over John Cena?

Now, if we honestly have the answer to that question, we'd all be geniuses, and resident mavens of the business like a Paul Heyman or a Gabe Sapolsky. But we're not. We're fans. And as fans, we're entitled to our opinions. And, with the ability to echo mine to a good deal of people, here is my opinion to the brass of WWE.

You all are a bunch of talentless morons.

What do you hope to gain out of this? Do you think that there is going to be enough heat on Federline doing this to Cena that its going to draw more viewers to Raw? I guarantee you this, I will be SHOCKED if the rating for Raw is up tonight. More fans of the product, based on feedback I got from previous columns, don't want to see Kevin Federline in a WWE ring. Period. Against anybody.

I truly believe that the WWE has harmed its product by this fact. They put over a wanna be rap star over their top talent. The champion of the company. Not a brand, but the company. The WWE CHAMPION, for the love of all that's holy, has to be relegated to Kevin Federline's punching bag? It's ludicrous.

And it has to be making John Cena very very upset. Company man or not, this cannot be settling well with him, and if I were Vince McMahon, I would seriously take in to consideration the fact that they cannot afford to have any more top talent unhappy or contemplating moving on in their careers.
