Dark Match:
Vito taps out Noble to the Under-the-dress finisher. Crowd didn't care.
Smackdown Opens.
Champion of Champions comes out. Fans see images of fu on sharmell and stfu on booker shown on titan tron (cena was over). Booker talks briefly. Teddy Long comes out. Congratulates, takes pictures with both, etc. etc. (note, possible spoiler, Long accidentally said booker successfully became champ of champs at survivor series, and quickly corrected himself by saying cyber sunday. Then informs Booker that he owed someone a favor from last week: Batista. Announces both will fight at Survivor Series. Also, Booker needs to be ready because he is also defending his title in the next match against Bobby Lashley.
Lashley music. Match 1: World Heavyweight Title on the line. Several false finishes for Lashley. Sharmell gets on apron, Lashley confronts her. Booker sneaks up from behind him and school boy's him for the win.
Backstage. Teddy Long again with MVP, who talks about being unfairly forced to face the brothers of darkness. Long informs him he will face Kane next week, and because MVP claims he's "from the street" that both men will have a street fight.
Another backstage: Benoit confronts Chavo and Vickie. A whole lot of nothing.
Back to the ring. Match 2: Matt Hardy and Jimmy Wang Yang defeat Gregory Helms and Sylvan. Nothing out of the ordinary. I wonder if Matt is jealous cuz Jeff has pyro for his entrance and Matt's been back over a year longer than him. Interesting. Matt pins Helms via twist of fate off top turnbuckle.
Kennedy shown walking to the ring.
Kennedy hits. Does his mic-work, lights stay off. He talks about Undertaker's 16 year old survivor series debut and challenges him to fight at the annual event. Says he will end UT for good, blah blah, Taker hits (best entrance of the night aside from King Booooka). Kennedy sneak attacks, Taker blocks, but Kennedy hasn't released his mic. (*Note, best spot of the night purely for shock value).... Kennedy CLUBS TAKER 24 TIMES IN THE FACE WITH HIS SUSPENDED MICROPHONE. Taker even spuddered around all 4 corners of the ring until resolving in a pool of his own bloodied mess. Sits up Taker style as Kennedy leaves. Rolls eyes back while standing on ramp.
Match 3: Chris Benoit defeats KC James w/ Michelle McCool (all divas with few exceptions looked GREAT tonight. better than usual) via the Crippler Crossface following Headbutt following Triple Germans. No sign of Idol Stevens. Couldn't hear KC James from where we were sitting (not like on tv)
Benoit leaves as Boogeyman first return match promo hits.
Back in the ring, TJ Dutton Jobber has the dubious task to face Marty Wrigh...oop... The Boogeyman. Several columbus urban-ites giving Boogey the distinction of "crackhead wrestler". Boogey ends it with 1 stomach kick and 1 choke bomb. Stink-o-rama. Only thing that smelled worse all night was Boogey's pyro.
Backstage after break: Kristal approaches Miz for leaving her last week. Miz does a little "shhh" session with her and says he's challenging Boogey for next week. 2 undefeateds. Hope Miz wins.
Main Event: Baldtista (yes.. i said it. his head had an 8 o'clock shadow and was the baldest he's been) defeats Finlay. Standard match. Batista dominates early, Finlay takes over. Little Bastard pops out twice. Batista rallies. Booker hits the ring and jumps the apron to get at Batista. Finlay runs with a head of steem, Batista moves and Finlay lays an elbow into Champ of Champs (looked like he could've stopped but hit him anyway). Batista spinebusters Finlay for the pin.
The had about 17 minutes to switch sets. After Smackdown Little Bastard pops out with Shillelagh and goes after Chimel (Batista already gone, Finlay still out). JBL and Finlay restrain Little Bastard from laying into Chimel too hard.
