More details on TNA's cancelled event in Bloomfield; police and wrestlers
On Sunday, November 12, 2006 at 5:22 AM EST According to reports, an estimated 15 police cars arrived at the Bloomfield Tennis Center last night before TNA's scheduled House Show event in Bloomfield, CT. Hermie Sadler and TNA were informed that the event wouldn't be allowed to take place due to permit issues, citing quote "inadequate exits" for the estimated number of fans expected to show up for the event (which was close to 800 fans or more).
The scene was said to have been very hectic, with one TNA wrestler stating it looked like they had stumbled upon a major drug bust given how many police officers were there at the venue in Bloomfield. Several TNA wrestlers showed up at the venue on time and started an impromptu autograph session with fans waiting outside.
A number of fans were also reportedly turned away by police when attempting to approach the building for the event. Fans were also turned away on the road leading to the Bloomfield Tennis Center as well. There remains no word about refunds for fans who purchased tickets, although TNA's website promised fans would be reimbursed.
It should be noted that all TNA wrestlers were paid for last night for the event, although Hermie Sadler's UWF lost a good amount of money on their investment for the show. Cameras were spotted filming footage of the events taking place last night, with TNA's website also confirming this as well.
