IPW:UK's Next Double Header Weekender - Swanley On December 9th, Colchester On December 10th!
» IPW:UK's double-header weekenders are becoming legendary for double shots of fan involvement and wrestling action. With a double header in Ware and Orpington just a week ago, we move on to Swanley and Colchester on December 9th and 10th.
Back in October, IPW:UK returned to Swanley with a live steel cage match. This time around, there is no cage - it's been replaced by a big bag of festive action!
The next day in Colchester, IPW:UK debut in an afternoon card (doors 1:30pm, show 2:00pm) at the Colchester Hippodrome. Alongside the evening's first ever 'Gorefest - European Deathmatch' event, IPW:UK bring to the UK the legendary European tag team - Swiss Money Holding. One half (Ares) has just returned from a tour of NOAH. One half (Double C) has just signed a contract to head to the WWE. Both halves make a whole, and they're in Colchester on December 10th!
Stone Re-Match Signed For Swanley, December 9th!
» With every outgoing champion, be it singles or tag team, comes a rematch. And with that rematch, the outgoing champion has one shot at regaining their position at the top of their wrestling division. For Martin Stone, his shot is December 9th.
Andy Boy Simmonz has been out through injury, but today confirmed that on December 9th, Stone will get his rematch and Simmonz will step into the ring for the first time since he broke his ankle back in September.
» Speaking of injuries, Kris Linnell has had to officially withdraw this week from December's double-header. Linnell, who was at home recovering from a broken rib, and a broken hand, has not been given the all-clear as he expected to return to action, and IPW:UK have made the decision to hold off his in-ring return a little longer. Suitable replacements will be announced shortly.
Darkside Signed For First Official IPW:UK Match!
» Twice in the past month, Scottish wrestler 'Darkside' has made his presence felt on IPW:UK shows - first in Swanley, then in Orpington. Having been unsuccessful this past weekend, after adding himself to the Under 23's Championship match-up, Darkside will be given his first official singles bout on December 9th in Swanley - against 'Mr. IPW' Ashley Reed.
Reed, who was involved in an amazing, jaw dropping Last Man Standing match against long-term rival Tony 'Superstar' Sefton this past Sunday, has laid out the open challenge to Darkside (who claims IPW:UK is 'against' him, thus the reason it's taken him two years plus to earn a match), stemming from the unprovoked attack on 'Mr. IPW' back in Swanley on October 7th.
IPW:UK have, though, added a twist to the match. Since the weekend is another legendary IPW:UK double header, both men will also wrestle the next afternoon in Swanley.
» With Ashley Reed and Darkside set to go toe-to-toe in Swanley, IPW:UK officials have decided to reward the winner - and cheese off the loser.
With the possibility that Martin Stone will go into December 10th as IPW:UK champion, a signed match-up against 'The Guvnor' for that date is more valuable than ever. And for the winner of Darkside/Reed on December 9th, that will be your reward.
For the loser, you get to face off against The Untouchables, 'Sadistic' Jack Storm and 'The Human Hate Machine' Dave Moralez. At the same time. Without a partner. Good luck against 'Mr. IPW', Darkside - you're gonna need it. Therefore the current card for "The Christmas Cracker" On Saturday December 9th 2006 is:
IPW:UK Title Match - Andy Boy Simmonz (c) vs. 'The Guvnor' Martin Stone
Winner Faces Stone The Next Night; Loser Faces The Untouchables! - Darkside vs. 'Mr. IPW' Ashley Reed (w/ Donna)
- 'The Human Hate Machine' Dave Moralez vs. TBC
And the current card for "The Dome Show" on Sunday December 10th 2006 stands as:
IPW:UK Tag Title Match - The Dragon Hearts (Spud & Dragon Phoenix) (c) vs. $wiss Money Holding (Double C & Ares)
IPW:UK vs. The FWA - 'The Man That Gravity Forgot' Pac vs. 'The Wonderkid' Jonny Storm
- Martin Stone vs. Darkside OR Reed
Handicap Match - The Untouchables (Jack Storm/Dave Moralez) vs. Darkside OR Reed
- 'New Superstar' Stevie Douglas vs. TBC
