WWE Hall of Fame Legend, Rowdy Roddy Piper, Diagnosed With Cancer
On Monday, November 27, 2006 at 6:44 PM EST WWE Legend, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper announced via his official website that he has been diagnosed with lymphoma, a form of cancer, and will begin treatment immediately.
The announcement comes two weeks after Piper abruptly left WWE's European tour to go home for surgery on a disc in his spine to remove what was thought at the time to be a benign tumor. It has turned out to be cancerous and Piper will now have to undergo treatment (probably some radiation treatment) to fight the cancer.
On his website, Piper, released the following statement:
“It seems like I have been fighting someone, something, someplace, in some manner, my whole life. But this fight, is one I am gonna win!"
