In detail

The Christmas show brings us the qualifying matches for the King of the Ring tournament, held in February. Christmas also brings the debuts of 2 new KSW wrestlers who have been picked from the trainee ranks and given the opportunity to face the seasoned roster.

Big Badd Donaghan is confident he will beat his opponent, the straight talking and practical John "Razor" Bromwich, though Donaghan is curious as to why the training staff nicknamed him the Razor...

Nick Mace is to face the other arrival, Dick Daniels, no one knows a lot about Dick and that's just the way he likes it, perhaps Dick will show Mace just how daring he is?

Rob Long enjoys a healthy winning streak over Staxx using his stunner on both occasions to knock the monster unconcious, can he do it a third time? Or does Staxx have a trick up his sleeve?

The Prophecy have been making a lot of enemies lately, however, Franco has made it his personal mission to take them down, he's dropped the make up and has teamed with Cupid Valentino to take on Brandon Grave and Brett Banner, will the Prophecy be able to cheat their way out of this one?

Tyler and Ryan were the best of friends until Tyler Rayne booted Ryan in the face and joined the Prophecy, Ryan thought the feud was over but now King of the Ring qualifiers bring them back to face each other, can Ryan overcome this obstacle one more time?

Mizzery thinks Kid Flash is a joke, but Flash doesn't care, he's doing it for the fans of KSW and he will try his best to beat Carl for the belt, but with Carl's allegiance to 3XL, could Flash be in for a nasty surprise?

You can find out at The Christmas show.

Midsouth Allstar Wrestling sent in this report:

Midsouth Allstar Wrestling "State of Emergence" results
New Daisy Theatre, Memphis, TN
12/03/06

Announcers: "Hot Rod" Rodney Howard, Scotty C, Poncho, and Hank Russell

Blalok The Blazer (w/Big Ace) def. Void at 8:21 with a 3rd Degree Burn. In a sign of mutual respect, Ace and Blalok helped Void to his feet and shook his hand after the match.

Jason Skyler def. Shawn Reed (/w Anita Page) at 4:13 with a Skyliner to retain the TCW Television Championship. He was able to get the pin with his feet on the ropes.

Holiday music plays in the New Daisy as the TFO Assistants come to the ring to throw candy to the crowd, followed by MAW Commissioner K.C. Gold. As Gold is making his way to the ring, announcer Scotty C (who is also Vice President of TCW) gets a call on his cell phone. He tells Gold that the call was from TCW President Devin Slim. As president, Slim gets to name the stipulation for the TCW Heavyweight Championship match later tonight, and says that Pimpin' Antoin Smooth will be the special guest referee. Gold says that since this is MAW's house, he will add another stipulation: the match will be a Knockout/Submission match.

Gold then calls out The Crime and Jason Skyler, who have had 30 days to make a decision on the offer made at "Brawl on Beale St." Crime answers first, saying that he has thought about it for a long time, and even though he hates Gold, he knows he has to side with the right people to make it in MAW. He says he will make a sacrifice and accept the TFO's offer. Skyler answers next, saying that as a TCW star he also knows he will not get anywhere unless he makes friends with the right people, and accepts the offer. As the new TFO celebrates by throwing candy into the crowd, Antoin Smooth comes into the ring and hammers K.C. with a chair. As Skyler and Crime run off Smooth, officials come into the ring to help the busted-open commissioner. Smooth gets on the mic and says that this is payback for the chairshot he got a few months back, and Gold will learn never to put his hands on him again. Crime says that by refereeing his match tonight, Smooth has signed his own death certificate. If he screws him over in his match, Crime says he is taking out Smooth, Devin Slim, Reno Diamond, and the TCW Administration.

Gabriel Stalker (w/The Movement) def. A.J. Bradley at 9:25 to retain the Jr. Heavyweight Title. As the ref was being distracted by Ms. Jade, Movement members Jason Richards and Jeremy Killz attacked Bradley. Stalker got the pinfall after a double legdrop/frogsplash combo from the top rope by High Society.

MAW Heavyweight Champion Carnage Antwane came out to shed some light on tonight's match with Dre Black. He says that the feud started when he was one half of The Punishers with Black, and that he has been a pest ever since. He also mentions that he was crowned the first MAW champion at their first show at the old Daisy Theatre. He says that Dre Black doesn't deserve a title shot, especially since interfering in his tag match with Showstopper. If anything, Showstopper deserves a title match more than him. Black makes his way out, and says that it was because of him that CA won the title. Carnage asks Dre if he wants a cookie, which starts a "Dre wants a cookie" chant from the crowd. Antwane says we'll see about that later, and both men head to the back.

In a Knockout/Submission match, Reno Diamond (w/Big Badd Steve) def. The Crime at 14:31 to retain the TCW Heavyweight Championship. Before the match, Reno said that he was bringing Big Steve to watch his back, and that TCW had something in store for later. Despite constant interference from Steve and fast counts from special referee Antoin Smooth, Crime nearly won the match by knockout after a superplex from the top rope onto a trash can. After recovering during a slow count from Smooth, Reno was nearly put through a table by Crime, but the table did not break. As Diamond stood to his feet on the table, he was caught with a Diamond Cutter from the top rope by Crime, putting both men through the table. Heatwave, Inc (Blalok and Big Ace) ran into the ring and attacked Crime, and Reno locked in the Crossface. Smooth immediately called for the bell, and TCW VP Scotty C announced Reno as the winner.

Reno says that the surprise is the arrival of Heatwave, Inc in TCW, and says to either "like us, love us, or fuck you all!" After the TCW crew leaves, Crime tells Scotty that he knows damn well that he never tapped out. He says that he warned him what would happen if he screwed with him, and now he's going to kill his ass. As Crime approaches the announce table, Scotty says that he admires his spirit, but if he lays a finger on him then he'll never get another TCW title shot ever again.

Big Country comes out next and grabs the mic. He says that he issued the challenge to Raven but he has been too scared to face him. A few months back, he sent Rick Steiner to take his place, and Steiner got pinned. Country calls the ref out and says that even though they were supposed to meet later in the main event, he knows Raven won't show up and wants his hand raised. The lights go out, and Raven appears at ringside. The crowd breaks out into a "TNA" chant, but Raven says that the only "T&A" are Big Country's man-boobs. Country tries to attack Raven, but gets beat across the head with the mic.

Raven def. Big Country at 12:42 in a Raven's Rules match. Most of the action took place outside the ring, and saw use of chairs, trash can lids, cookie sheets, a cheese grater, a skillet, fluorescent light bulbs, and various weapons from the crowd, including a cane and a broomstick. Near the end of the match, Raven was whipped into a trash can placed between the top and middle ropes, and the resulting collision tore the middle rope off the ring post! Country took advantage and used the rope to strangle Raven, but Raven was able to escape and executed a drop toe-hold to a chair in the middle of the ring. After another chairshot, Raven finished the match with an Evenflow DDT into the chair.

After the match, Raven thanked the Memphis fans, as well as "MAW, CIA, FBI, ABC, your mom's phone number, whatever." He says that he started his career in Memphis, and now works for Jarrett, who also started in Memphis, so the city has been wonderful to him, and he plans to come back sometime. He ended with "Quote the Raven, nevermore."

MAW Tag Team Champions High Society, consisting of "God's Gift" Jason Richards and "Pimp Glorious" Jeremy Killz, make their way to the ring with "We Are the Champions" playing. The championship open challenge is answered by "Juicy" Johnny Morton and "New Blood" Dave Anthony. High Society (w/The Movement) fought Johnny Morton and Dave Anthony to a no contest after the referee was knocked out. All four men brawled in the ring, and Morton and New Blood were both whipped to the ropes. Morton executed a sunset flip to pin Richards. Anthony looked to do the same, but instead attacked his partner. As High Society and Anthony work on Morton, Jason Skyler and The Crime come to the rescue. The Movement leaves the ring, but Antoin Smooth is trapped. K.C. Gold comes out and attacks Smooth with punches and clotheslines, and one of the TFO girls executes a running double handspring low kick. Smooth is then beaten with a boot by Morton, receives a Diamond Cutter from Crime, then gets spanked with a belt by Morton.

K.C. grabs the mic and says that a contract has been put on Smooth and The Movement for January 28. He was going to make the announcement later tonight, but he might as well do it now. He said last month that there were two veterans joining Skyler and Crime in TFO. Johnny Morton is the third member, and next month the TFO will take on High Society and New Blood in a 6-man tag. Gold also says he is going to do something he promised he'd never do again, and challenged Antoin Smooth for January 28 at the New Daisy.

Morton then grabs the mic, and says that he spanked the wrong person. He really wanted the "bimbo" Ms. Jade, who ran off to the back. Morton says that if K.C. beats Smooth, TFO gets Jade for 5 minutes. However, since she is not a wrestler, Morton will put her over her lap, and everyone in the crowd will get to line up to spank her!

"Punisher" Dre Black def. "Big CA" Carnage Antwane at 10:42 to become the new MAW Heavyweight Champion. Antwane hit the big boot and went for the pin, but Showstopper stepped on the apron to distract him. Black was able to roll up Big CA for the pin. Showstopper then claimed it was his time in MAW.

Chris Lexx def. Big Ace at 11:54 in an Anything Goes match. By winning tonight, Lexx gets a shot at the Ace's Southern Championship and gets to choose the stipulation. This match was originally scheduled as a ladder match, but was changed due to technical difficulties. The ladder was still a major factor in this match, as well as chairs and trash cans. Early in the match, Lexx was smashed across the back with four strapped fluorescent light bulbs, causing blood to pour down his back for the rest of the match (photos available at this link). After a chant from the crowd of "We want tables," Big Ace set a makeshift "table" with a ladder sitting between two chairs. Lexx got the win after a Lexxecution through the ladder. After the match, Blalok signed Ace's name to the contract, and Lexx was attacked with a skillet.

As the show came to a close, a package was placed at the announce table for the Front Office. Since no one from TFO was available, Scotty opened the package. Inside were four pink flowers and a red rose.

The next MAW event will take place once again at the New Daisy Theatre on January 28, 2007. For more updates, visit us at www.midsouthallstarwrestling.com.
