Matches Announced So Far:
Main Event Grudge Rematch: Grim Reefer w/ Don Tony vs. Jason Static
At the last VPW event, Grim Reefer narrowly defeated the powerful Jason Static. There were times where it appeared that Static was going to be victorious, but thanks to the crafty and shrewd tactics of the Grim Reefer, Static was defeated. Those crafty and shrewd tactics also happened to include the services of a new "insurance policy," namely the notorious Don Tony. It was earlier that night where Reefer made it clear that Don Tony was now in his service and it looks like Reefer's plan instantly paid off. Jason Static has been slowly climbing the ladder in VPW and already earned a big win over Papadon. Static has been training non-stop in preparation for this rematch. Friends of Static have told VPW officials that they've never seen him looking so intense. The question that now remains is if all that training will pay off, or if Reefer and Don Tony will once again get the upper hand? On the flip side, friends of the Grim Reefer have sent word that Reefer has been anything but stressed and has just been chilling around like he always does. Will this relaxed attitude end up hurting Grim Reefer in the long run? Reefer has probably been the most dominant singles wrestler in VPW since day one and as far as we can tell, he plans on staying at the top. If anybody is capable of knocking Reefer off his pedestal, Jason Static has the best shot. Don't dare miss this explosive rematch on Friday night, December 8th in Long Island!!!
Intergender Tag Team Match: "Superstar" JD Michaels & April Hunter vs. Danny Demanto & Tina Marina
JD Michaels and April Hunter may be on a tear in VPW, but at the last event, Grim Intentions, the team of Danny Demanto got their revenge and victory in an intense intergender tag team war. That loss has not deterred JD Michaels and April Hunter from trying to get the last laugh. Both have requested and received a rematch against the team of Danny Demanto and Alicia. Unfortunately, Alicia is on the disabled list and will not be able to compete in that match on December 8th when VPW returns. At first it seemed that Danny Demanto would have to go it alone, but that will not be the case as he has found a partner in Brooklyn's own, Tina Marina. April Hunter sent word to VPW officials that she and JD could care less who Danny Demanto brings with him because there is no way that they are losing. On the other hand, Demanto has been heard telling people that JD Michaels and April Hunter lost last time and that this time will be no different. Danny Demanto has found success in the past with Alicia, but will a new partner that he's never teamed with before give JD and April an advantage? Or will the unknown factor that is Tina Marina take JD and April by surprise? Either way, it looks like the fans will once again get a wild match.
Triple Threat Match: Javi-Air vs. Deranged vs. "Suicidal Demon" Azrieal
This is a match for fans of fast-paced, high-flying action. At the last show, fans were witness to what was quite possibly the craziest match in VPW history when Javi-Air pinned Deranged in a triple threat match that also included Sabotage. After the match, there was a bit of a problem between Javi-Air and Deranged, as well as a ringside fan that turned out to be a friend of Javi-Air. This near explosive situation was diffused before any real damage was done, but who knows what will happen this time when both men are in the same ring again. Additionally, both Deranged and Javi-Air need to take into account the debuting "Suicidal Demon" Azrieal who is the third participant in this triple threat match. Azrieal has wrestled all over and will obviously want to make an impact on his debut match here in VPW. All three wrestlers have a lot to gain and will do whatever it takes to get the win. Will Javi-Air and Deranged be able to focus on the match and not their personal problems? Will Azrieal take advantage of the bad blood between them? Will the crowd be able to keep up with all of the action?
Special Challenge Match: "The Steel City Assassin" Sabotage vs. "Working Man's Wrestler" Chopsaw
Back at VPW's debut event, Sabotage defeated Richie Tyler in the opening match. He was the man to get the first win on the first show. Unfortunately he lost a rematch to Richie Tyler on the following show. What made matters worse for Sabotage is that on this show, he had secured the service of Don Tony, but all of their plans ended up backfiring in the worst way. Then at the last show, while he didn't get pinned, Sabotage came up short in a triple threat match that also included Javi-Air and Deranged. In a moment of frustration, Sabotage blamed Don Tony for his streak of bad luck and fired him on the spot. Now, once again on his own, Sabotage can make no excuses for his success rate. Sabotage made it clear that he doesn't need the fans or Don Tony. Looking to get his confidence back, Sabotage issued an open challenge to anybody on the VPW roster. The first person to step up and accept was the "Working Man's Wrestler" Chopsaw. Chopsaw realizes that he's been going at it for a lot shorter time than Sabotage, but he wants to prove himself. Unlike Sabotage, Chopsaw has some momentum behind him after recently winning a three-way dance against JMS and Eug Perversion. Will Chopsaw get the big win that he's been itching for? Will Sabotage make an impact and get back on the path he was riding until recently? Find out this Friday night!
Return Grudge Match: Papadon vs. Richie Tyler
Papadon may be the angriest wrestler on the VPW roster, and while that anger has cost him a couple of big matches, he got a big win over Richie Tyler at the last show. Before the match began, Papadon appeared before the fans and apologized for his recent behavior. Some of the fans believed him while others doubted his sincerity. Papadon even shook Richie Tyler's hand when the bell rang and wrestled clean. Then out of nowhere Papadon snapped and grabbed a chair from the outside. He was about to use it, but then handed it back to the referee. It appeared as if he truly was a changed man, but those fans that doubted him earlier were proven to be correct in their judgment. While the referee had his back turned, Richie Tyler was nailed with a low-blow courtesy of Papadon. A spike DDT later and Richie Tyler was seeing stars. Richie went to VPW officials and demanded another shot at Papadon. VPW has granted Richie's request and they will meet one on one this Friday night. Will Papadon try the same trick or will a wiser Richie Tyler get the upperhand?
Special Attraction: "2 Cocky" Kevin Matthews vs. MacDaddy Flexx
In his VPW debut, Mack Daddy Flexx made short work of Eric Adams. Despite never wrestling out in Long Island before, the fans immediately took to the big man. Looking to continue his hot streak, Flexx requested a tough opponent to compete against. Now while everyone in VPW is pretty tough in their own right, VPW officials decided to look to the outside when selecting Flexx's opponent. This Friday night, Mack Daddy Flexx will be facing "2 Cocky" Kevin Matthews in what will be Kevin Matthews first match back in the Northeast in quite some time. Matthews was a Northeast staple for several years before relocating to the WWE's Deep South Wrestling development territory. Now "2 Cocky" is back and ready to pick up right where he left off. This is sure to be an exciting first-time match up between these two. Both Flexx and Matthews are evenly matched and ready to show Long Island what they can do.
Grudge Match: Johnny Suburban w/ Jack O'Hearts vs. DC Diamond
Johnny Suburban made his debut at the last VPW event when he accompanied DC Diamond to the ring when Diamond teamed up with the LI Kid to take on Jack O'Hearts' Eclipse. DC Diamond and the LI Kid were putting up a good fight when out of nowhere Johnny Suburban attacked his supposed friend, DC Diamond. This all turned out to be one of Jack O'Hearts schemes as Suburban revealed that he was the newest member of Jack O'Hearts & The Crew. This unit has been roughshotting over anyone in their path since day one. Unfortunately for DC Diamond, he has been the victim of The Crew far too often. Even when Diamond has gotten a victory, he suffers via after-match attacks. In short Jack O'Hearts & The Crew have been the schoolyard bullies of VPW. Now DC Diamond is stepping up and taking the fight to them head on to challenge the man who betrayed him, Johnny Suburban. In the past, Diamond has found himself to have a language and communication problem since he only knows a limited amount of English, but word has it that Diamond is bringing in somebody to not only help him with that but also watch his back. Perhaps this time Jack O'Hearts will be shut up for good.
In other VPW news..
As of this writing, the Dead Presidents do not have any scheduled opponents. At the last VPW show, they competed in hard-hitting tag match against Monsta Mack and Bison Bravado. That match came to an abrupt end when Boog Washington cracked Bison Bravado with a chair as Bison was about to pin Lo Lincoln. While the Dead Presidents lost the match by disqualification, they didn't seem to care. When VPW Interviewer Jerry Fitzwater caught up with the Dead Presidents backstage after their match, they made it clear that they don't care who gets in their way. With no opponents to prepare for, it will be interesting to see how well they fare. It will also be interesting to see how their opponents fare, whoever that ends up being.
Eug Perversion has made it known that VPW newcomer Scotty Rio is a marked man. The lightning-fast Eug Perversion was on the verge of defeating Chopsaw at the last show when a then-unknown individual brutally assaulted him. This left Perversion easy pickings. After the match, Eug Perversion stormed the locker room in search of Scotty Rio, but Rio had already left the building. One way or another, these two individuals will cross paths this Friday night. Whether that encounter happens in a sanctioned match or an impromptu fight is not known at this time.
Another VPW tag team that as of now does not have a scheduled match is Eclipse. Jack O'Hearts' Eclipse have been untouchable in a VPW ring since the first show. Eclipse has defeated and beat down everybody that they've gotten in the ring with. Jack O'Hearts has even gone so far as to state that there are no tag teams out there that could hang with his team. Xandar Page and Jay Delta have told VPW officials to find a tag team for them and they'll add that team to their list of victims.
The L.I. Kid and JMS have been seen training together all throughout Long Island these last few weeks. Both have been said to have told fans that they've been working on some new moves. At this point VPW officials are not certain who JMS and the L.I. Kid are wrestling. Perhaps they will be teaming up to compete against either Eclipse or the Dead Presidents. On the other hand, maybe they will end up wrestling against each other. Good training partners can make good opponents.
There are strong rumors that Don Tony will be bringing people from his neighborhood of Howard Beach to Long Island. We all know that Don Tony is not fond of Long Island or the Long Island fans. It will be interesting to see how well his own neighborhood supports him in an outside environment.
