The following took place on Monday in Orlando, Florida:

TNA iMPACT! Tapings for December 28:

- Backstage, Kurt Angle demands his rematch with Samoa Joe. Jim Cornette tells security to keep an eye on Angle all night.

- James Storm & Chris Sabin defeated X Division Champion Christopher Daniels & Petey Williams. Storm pinned Williams after a chair shot. Sabin argued with Jerry Lynn when Lynn prevented Sabin from using a steel chair. Daniels then took out both Sabin and Lynn.

- Backstage, Samoa Joe is shown (on crutches) with his girlfriend.

- Team 3D returned and came out to the Impact Zone. Brother Ray said that due to the process of elimination, they were the only tag team that deserved a shot at the NWA World Tag Team Titles. Brother Runt came out and asked where they were last week when LAX beat him up. Both Ray and Runt started arguing, then Ray accused Runt of drinking. Runt reveals a bottle of alcohol on him. Boy, smells like Vince Russo in here doesn't it? Ray and Runt start brawling and then Ray tells Devon to get the table. Devon refused. LAX then came out and attacked Team 3D. Runt took out Homicide with a steel chair and did so to Hernandez as well. The segment finished with Ray powerbomb Runt onto Homicide through a table.

- Robert Roode defeated Lance Hoyt.

- Sting defeated NWA World Champion Abyss & Christian Cage in a Nightstick on a Pole Match (Non-Title). Tomko got the stick first, but Sting catapulted Christian into Tomko. Tomko in turn dropped the nightstick and hit Christian with it to get the win. After the match, Christian & Tomko attacked Sting, but Abyss made the save. James Mitchell was not happy about this.

- Mike Tenay and Jim Cornette were in the ring and announced that Samoa Joe was Mr. TNA for 2006 as a result of the 2006 Year End Awards. Samoa Joe came out to accept the award. Backstage, Angle got in the face of Joe's girlfriend and threatened to break her ankle if Joe didn't give him a rematch. Joe then tells Angle to come to the ring right now, but Angle instead gets ready to put her in the ankle lock. Joe agrees to the rematch. Angle puts her in the ankle lock anyways, which sees Joe chase him away as she is carried off.

TNA iMPACT! Tapings for January 4:

- Rhino defeated Robert Roode. Roode blames Ms. Brooks for his loss. After the match, AJ Styles attacked Rhino. Roode joined in as well. The segment finished with Styles giving Rhino a Frog Splash.

- VKM came out dressed up in ponchos and sombreros. They talk about how WWE hasn't answered their challenge yet and issued a new challenge against Michael Hickenbottom. They challenge Hickenbottom to show up at high Noon on Wednesday (January 10) at the Alamo and that TNA would be there to film it.

- Homicide defeated Brother Runt in a Street Fight Match. Hernandez gave Runt a Border Toss into a ladder and Team 3D came out to make the save.

- Kurt Angle vs. Christian Cage ended in a No Contest. Samoa Joe attacked Angle and security broke it up. Cornette then told security to let them fight. Angle and Joe brawled out of the building. Cornette then announces that at Final Resolution, it will be Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe in a 30 Minute Iron Man Match. Angle then came back and started his match with Christian Cage, but Tomko interfered attacking Angle. Sting then came out and made the save for Angle (yes, you read that right).

TNA iMPACT! Tapings for January 11:

- AJ Styles, Chris Sabin & James Storm Rhino, X Division Champion Christopher Daniels & Petey Williams.

- Kurt Angle defeated Matt Bentley. After the match, Raven caned Bentley.

- Team 3D attacked Konnan and LAX made the save. Ray said since they took out Konnan, they would win the NWA World Tag Team Titles.

- Jim Cornette announces that Tomko would be banned from ringside during the Abyss vs. Sting vs. Christian Cage match for the NWA World Title at Final Resolution. Cornette also announced that Christian Cage must stay in a penalty box during Abyss vs. Tomko and if he didn't, he would be removed from the title match at the PPV. He then brought out Kurt Angle to put Christian inside the penalty box.

- NWA World Champion Abyss defeated Tomko via DQ. Samoa Joe attacked Kurt Angle, so this allowed Christian to get out of the penalty box and interfere to cause the DQ. Sting made the save in the end, but Abyss turned on Sting to end the show.

TNA Xplosion Tapings:

- Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt defeated Austin Starr & Alex Shelley.

- Eric Young & Ron "The Truth" Killings defeated Chris Sabin & Senshi.
