Note on 'Lockdown' PPV in 2007, Eckstein and Pierzynski, + VKM footage

PWInsider is reporting that TNA's Lockdown PPV on April 15, 2007 is likely the next PPV event the company will be taking on the road. As of now, Chicago and St. Louis are the top two cities who look to be hosting the event. While plans aren't confirmed as of now, TNA saw how successful Bound For Glory was this past October in Detroit and realize that taking more PPV events on the road in 2007 is the next logical step.

David Eckstein of the St. Louis Cardinals and A.J. Pierzynski of the Chicago White Sox both appeared on ESPN 2's "Cold Pizza" program yesterday, playing up the brawl the two had at TNA's Turning Point PPV. Pierzynski looks to be playing the "heel" in the feud. As of now, the plan within TNA is to have Pierzynski & Dale Torborg team up to face David Eckstein & Lance Hoyt at an event in St. Louis next year. My good friend the Trey Dawg over at Wrestling News Live pointed out on our annual "Christmas Craptacular" show how Eckstein and Pierzynski may not be able to take part in an actual match as they may have something in their MLB contract preventing them for possibly getting hurt and risking a season with their respective teams. Anyone remember how upset the Chicago Bears were with Brian Urlacher when he appeared for TNA years ago simply tossing Jonny Fairplay out of the ring and not actually "wrestling" in a match?

TNA started airing footage of VKM's "invasion" of the WWE Raw House Show in Knoxville, TN a few weeks ago on iMPACT! last night on Spike TV. They will continue airing footage of the incident next week as well. Clips of the footage is up on TNA's website right now as well.
