BREAKING NEWS: KRYSTAL FROST SIGNS CAPW CHAMPION TRACY SMOTHERS

In recent weeks we’ve been following the exploits of JT Lightning’s personal advisor Krystal Frost, and her desire to add more talent to her stable. We’ve reported on Frost combing the CAPW roster from top to bottom, as well as searching outside of Cleveland All-Pro for prospective talent. We’ve eavesdropped on phone messages, and gathered every clue we could find in order to shed some light on the situation. Last week, we told you Frost was on her way to a hotel room in an undisclosed location sometime during this past weekend. After a few short hours of surveillance over the weekend, our reporters spotted Frost leaving her place of residence, speeding away in her car. We followed her to a seedy, run-down hotel on the outskirts of town. Shortly after she entered the hotel, our reporters spotted something very peculiar…a car in the parking lot with a Tennessee license plate. Twenty minutes later our reporters’ fears were proven true, as Frost and the “Wild Eyed Southern Boy" CAPW Champion Tracy Smother himself, left the hotel side by side, driving away in Frost’s car. Both parties were seen holding some sort of documents in their hands, which can only be assumed to be official contracts making Smothers’ and Frost’s business relationship together official.

How will this apparent newfound alliance impact the rest of the CAPW roster? How will this effect the career of Frost’s other main protégé JT Lightning? And what changes will be in store for the Tracy’s scheduled title defense against CAPW Television Champion Bane on January 14?

UPDATE ON THE CHRIS KOLE/CK3 SAGA

Over the course of the month, we’ve also tracked the escalating hatred between “Killer" Chris Kole and Conrad Kennedy III. Conrad became irate at Kole after CK3 was forced to spend the night in an area hospital following a devastating Chris Kole suplex that nearly broke Conrad’s neck last November. CK3’s retaliation for this accidental injury, was to intentionally brutalize Kole beyond the bounds of the normal bumps and bruises of a match. Conrad left Kole with a broken nose, severe lacerations on the head, and a possible concussion. Kole has refused to miss ring time and has spent several weeks petitioning for a rematch.

We here at CAPW can indeed confirm that Chris Kole vs. Conrad Kennedy III WILL in fact take place on January 14, and according to our sources it will NOT be just an ordinary wrestling match. CAPW officials have reportedly granted Kole’s wish for the match to take place under certain violent and dangerous stipulations, however, CAPW management are in the process of drawing up special detailed contracts for both Kole and Kennedy, releasing CAPW of any liability or responsibility for injuries and damages suffered in this match. As a result, we are legally not able to officially release the details of this match until both parties have signed, but we fully expect to be able to reveal the hell these men will step into right here next week!

UPDATED CARD FOR CAPW’s LIVE EVENT ON SUNDAY JANUARY 14

Cleveland All-Pro Wrestling returns to the famed Turner’s Hall, 7325 Guthrie Avenue, on Sunday afternoon January 14 with a brand new start-time of 3pm, with doors opening at 2pm. Last week, we confirmed the main event, and now we can add two blockbuster bouts to the card.
Just added to the card this week…

“One Legged Wonder" Zach Gowen vs. Josh Prohibition
Josh Prohibition’s alliance of convenience with Johnny Gargano was working to a fair bit of success at first. The duo joined forces to help combat mutual enemies such as Zach Gowen & M-Dogg 20, however when Gowen & M-Dogg united to even the odds, the results became mixed. Such was the case last month when Gowen scored the winning pinfall in the six man tag team match, defeating the opposing team, which included Josh Prohibition & Gargano. Josh was reportedly “humiliated" over dropping such an important match to his long-time friend/enemy M-Dogg, and current top rival in the Jr. Heavyweight Division, Zach Gowen. Prohibition was quick to challenge Gowen, and it’s no surprise that the Tenacious Gowen was even quicker to accept. However, with Johnny Gargano also scheduled to be in the building, and Gowen’s frequent ally M-Dogg 20 rumored to have contractual obligations elsewhere, has Zach Gowen encountered one obstacle that is simply unconquerable?

In addition to these matches already announced…

CAPW Heavyweight Title Match: Tracy Smothers vs. Bane
Tracy Smothers may have been the one to pin Claudio Castagnoli to win the CAPW Title on December 3rd, but it was Jason Bane’s devastating Baneline that knocked Claudio out cold. After Bane did the dirty work, the veteran Smothers picked his spot and stole the victory and the title that Bane wanted to re-unify with his Television Title for a historic second time. This time, they’ll be no place for Tracy to hide, as he has to collide with a 6’8" 300+ pounder one-on-one. Can the Wild Eyed Southern Boy survive Jason Bane one more time, or will CAPW’s top two championships be dominated by one mountain of a man? And how does the recent news of Tracy Smothers now being under the direction of the controversial Krystal Frost impact this scenario and the future of the CAPW Title?

CAPW Junior Heavyweight Title Match: Johnny Gargano vs. Azrieal
The deep roster of Jr. Heavyweight Title contenders to Johnny Gargano keeps on growing. In addition to top challengers like M-Dogg 20 and Zach Gowen still on the horizon, another major independent name has put their name into the hat of contention. Azrieal, the east coast standout who originally gained fame as Angel Dust of Special K in Ring of Honor, has in recent years abandoned the raver image en route to becoming a more serious well-rounded contender. It seems CAPW management has taken notice, as his reputation has warranted him not only a CAPW debut, but an opportunity at the Jr. Heavyweight Title as well.

Irish Airborn vs. Q&A - 2 out of 3 Falls
Jake & Dave Crist, collectively known as Irish Airborn, have made a major mark on the tag team scene in recent months. The Crists have brought high-risk and high-impact to a tag division quickly gaining a reputation of being just that. Virus & Unknown, collectively known as Q&A, are still on the comeback trail following Virus’ months-long sabbatical due to reconstructive shoulder surgery. Both teams had a breathtaking & evenly-matched contest at “Season’s Beatings", so much so, CAPW management could not determine a clear cut top contender to tag champions Faith in Nothing. Therefore, a rematch was ordered for January 14, and this time it’ll be 2/3 Falls. There will be no chance of fluke victories here, as someone will have to soundly defeat their opposition TWICE to move up in the rankings. Rumors has it Tag Champions Christian Faith & Vincent Nothing have been keeping an extremely close eye on both of these potential challengers, and are already preparing themselves for battle against whomever may emerge victorious. One thing we can count on is this contenders’ match will not be one soon forgotten.
