PWInsider reports that while Jim Ross recently confirmed the hiring of Barry Windham to WWE as a producer (a role formerly known as an agent), Windham reportedly has been under a deal with the company since April of 2006 (right before WrestleMania 22) as part of an agreemtn for Blackjack Mulligan to appear at the 2006 WWE Hall of Fame. After Windham signed with the company, he informed them that he needed to undergo back surgery and has been recovering since.
