would like to tell you guys that Teddy Long's announcement is that starting next SmackDown there will be a series of sprint matches (similar to beat the clock) in which the wrestler with the fastest winning time will go to Royal Rumble to face Batista for the world title.

Teddy Long revealed on the "Best Of SmackDown! 2006" that starting next week they will have what they call the "Smackdown Sprint." The "Sprint" is a time stipulated match which means that each week they will have a "Smackdown! Sprint" match and the wrestler who wins the shortest match gets to face the champion in the main event at Royal Rumble. Smackdown airs in Australia before the USA.
