Off a .500 record at New Year's Revolution, it's time to talk business about TNA's first PPV of the year, Final Resolution, going down this sunday night in O-Town, F, L, A.

Pre Show Match
LANCE HOYT vs. CHASE STEVENS

The Naturals are done. Andy Douglas is gone. Shane Douglas is back behind the scenes. Chase Stevens is somewhere in limbo. Hence, a pre show match against the consommate midcarder, Lance Hoyt. Nothing really creative here, speed and power combat in the never ending battle. Who is technically more sound, I would say Stevens. Who would benefit more from a win? I think Stevens, if he is going to jump in to the fracas for X Division gold. Hoyt, perhaps has a role blossoming as a tag team partner of the Truth, so this one is basically, I would believe, Stevens to win.

WINNER: Chase Stevens

PETEY WILLIAMS vs. COWBOY JAMES STORM

Storm is out on his own against the Canadian Destroyer. Personally, this is definitely tailor made for Harris to return and turn this in to the beginning of an all out blood feud between the former AMW members. I think Petey will get involved, and give the balance of power to the faces, but this one screams no contest, and the beginning of one hell of an intense rivalry between the former tag team partners.

NO CONTEST

Finals of the P.C.S. - 10 Minute Time Limit
AUSTIN STARR vs. ALEX SHELLEY

Any matchup involving two technical wizards like Starr & Shelley is worth the price of admission, but I cannot stand in any way, shape, or form that this dumb PCS label is attached to this match. This match could be an X Division marquis matchup, but it will turn in to a joke with probably nobody winning except Nash. Nash will proclaim himself the judge, and say he wins, or something stupid like that. It's a shame, because both men can tear the house down, but the gimmick is going to forbid them from doing that.

DRAW

Last Man Standing
AJ STYLES vs. RHINO

This is where Styles turns violent. He goes absolutely ape when he is cut open from the War Machine's onslaught, and takes a new edge to his heel character, adding an element of insanity to the paranoia. I am very intrigued by this one because Styles will need that intensity to counteract the straight forward style of Rhino and his gore. I would tend to think Styles will find a way out of this one, and lead to an eventual showdown between the members of the tag team of the year, Styles & Daniels. Rhino, I think, creatively, can afford the loss. Styles, can't. His heel persona needs the win to continue its development.

WINNER: AJ Styles

TNA X Division Championship
CHRISTOPHER DANIELS vs. CHRIS SABIN vs. JERRY LYNN

I like this. Past, present, and future. I really like this a lot. Lynn is obviously capable of rolling with the big dogs, as he has kept busy in smaller feds. Sabin is relishing the attention as the heel in this rivalry, and he has grown as a anthesis to the dispute between the X Division title holder, and the pioneer of the division.

Lynn getting involved, initially, I questioned it because I didn't know where it was going, but if he is going to make a semi-full time return to TNA, then this benefits the company in every facet possible. I would love to see Lynn take Daniels on one on one for pride, respect, and if necessary, the title.

Now, getting to the victor here, Personally, all three of them can win and have room to maneuver. If Lynn wins, the Fallen Agnel will tear in to him like nobody's business trying to get the belt back. If Sabin wins, Lynn can continue his pursuit, Daniels as well, along with possibly other members of the division that have been bogged down with Nash's idiocy. If the Fallen Angel wins, we could lead up to a triple threat involving Daniels, Styles, and Lynn, and how much past history is there between those three guys?

Personally, any chance you can get to put AJ and Daniels in a ring together, you take it. And now with AJ going heel, this match has a new found lustre to it that is intriguing to say the least. I think the Fallen Angel retains, but expect more to come from both Sabin and Lynn in the weeks and months to come.

WINNER: Christopher Daniels

NWA World Tag Team Championship
LATIN AMERICAN EXCHANGE vs. TEAM 3D

Is this the time? Is it finally the time to put the belts on 3D? I thought this was going to happen back when AMW held the belts, but now, finally, it may be the time for Ray and Devon to take the straps. Homicide and Hernandez do not have their trump card, (get well soon, Konann), but they have the talent to bang heads with the former Dudley Boys. The question is, will it be clean, or will there be some maneuvering by LAX leading to Runt coming out to assist his boys. One way or another, I think TNA will get the push on the tag team division by putting the belts on 3D, leading to eventual feuds with virtually anybody, and allowing LAX to regroup and reinvent themselves for a return to the throne without Konann at their side. It's sad that they drop them this way, but it is the most likely, I would believe, scenario to write Konann out for his recovery time.

WINNERS: Team 3D

Iron Man Rules - 30 Minute Time Limit
SAMOA JOE vs. KURT ANGLE

First and foremost, how is Joe's knee? Is he 100%? Second, if he is questionable for this match, how is it going to play out with the product in the ring? This is definitely a major test for Joe, not because it's Angle, and not because it's 30 minutes, but because he has bascially been non-existent in a wrestling ring since before ROH's Final Battle back around Christmas time. I would suspect Joe to be OK, but the fact remains, there is a cloud of uncertainty over this match that could affect the quality of it. I would tend to think that this match will NO WAY NEARLY equal the gems that AJ and Daniels have put on in Iron Man matches in the past, but there should be some major league intensity out of both men, and the raw emotion of this match should carry it through to a stiff conclusion. But,. who wins?

I almost can see this ending in a draw, to allow neither man to lose face in the fight for contenders for the World title. If Joe wins, then Angle is knocked down a few pegs, even after the carat dangled in front of the Olympic Hero from Impact this past week. If Angle wins, then it's pretty obvious Joe is going to havea major problem with Angle going forward for the world title, when Joe is one of the more likely candidates to take on the champion. A draw can possibly re-visit this feud a little bit later down the line, it keeps the carat Cornette put in front of Angle in play, and it keeps Joe in line for the title shot that I think is owed him for his undefeated streak. I got lucky at NYR with the DX pick, even if it was changed on the fly due to the injuiry to Triple H. I'm going to go for it again. This ends in a...

DRAW

NWA World Heavyweight Championship - Elimination Rules
STING vs. CHRISTIAN CAGE vs. ABYSS

Well, on paper right now, Sting is in the hole. Abyss apparently has Mitchell back on the same wavelength with the champion. Cage has his backup in Tomko at ringside. Sting has nobody in his corner to back him up. The question is, will that be a wildcard in this contest. My thought is, sure. However, with that being said, I cannot see Cage surviving past the first elimination, becasue there seems to be a major blow up blossoming between the icon and the champion, so some how or other, Cage will get eliminated first, and make it a simple one on one between the man who has tainted the mind of the monster, and the NWA World title holder.

Then it gets down to brass tax. Is Sting going to be able to sway Abyss' mind, is he going to do it physically and beat the champion down, or is Abyss going to return to the days of the monster and dominate Sting? All three are viable questions. There are possibilities on all three scenarios taking place. However, I would tend to think that we'll see the monster return and Abyss take out Sting in the end to retain the title. I would think that the most likely candidate following this match for a shot at the title would be Joe, Angle, or both. Both men have some minor history with Abyss, but Abyss would be a huge heel against either one of these men, while Sting will have some strong support one way or another if he were to take the belt, and move on to eventual defenses against either Angle or Joe. I don't suspect TNA will put the belt through another title change this quickly, I know that's contradictory to past patterns, but frankly, I see Abyss continuing to question Mitchell, and demand the respect he should get from him, and with the carats of this secret and the title in the balance, it should make some intriguing television to watch.

WINNER: Abyss over Sting.
