The Associated Press picked up the story about the passing of Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow, so you can expect to see the story make the rounds in a number of markets during this week. Sports Illustrated ran the story on their website today also. (Thanks to PnkBlkAtk for also sending word about this)

Terry Mathis sent word that Marty Jannetty and The Blue Meanie talked about Bigelow's passing on their "official" MySpace pages over the weekend.

Thanks to Georgiann Makropoulos for the following funeral information for Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow for this Friday:

As you have heard, Scott Bigelow passed away in Florida. His remains are being flown up to NJ today and his service will be on Friday followed by a memorial service on Saturday.

Ray Licamelli (former Doink ) & Afa are handling everything and if anyone would want to make cash donations or send flowers they can do so at the funeral address in Ray's name for Scott's memory & to help cover the costs of the service.

Scott has 3 children that he left behind.
