Sting addresses possible retirement from wrestling & TNA in 2007 - more
On Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 7:15 PM EST We reported yesterday on an interview TNA's Ross Forman conducted with Sting. During the interview, Sting addressed his current status with TNA and possible retirement.
"Last year, I said 2006 probably would be my last year, my last hurrah in wrestling. But then (TNA President) Dixie (Carter) started talking to me about 2007, as well as other TNA executives. So I figured I’d go another year. But, after 2007, I can’t make any promises. I have a feeling this, 2007, will be it. I’m not a commentator or manager type. Not in my blood. Wrestling is the only thing in my blood."
PWInsider is reporting that those comments by Sting reflect what he has told many internally within the company over the last few months. While nothing has been made official about his wrestling status with TNA, it appears 2007 could be his last year in the wrestling business. To read the full interview, click here.
