Pro's from the Palace (#172) - A response to the crybaby talent of WWE

I don't mean to put a damper on the festivities for Wrestlemania 23, but I have to respond to an article my friend and colleague posted elsewhere on the net. To keep things cool, I'll put a link to the article I am talking about on my myspace blog, where I post this article as well. The deal basically states that Carlito is torked off for not being on the Wrestlemania card, and he hates his role as a babyface. I got two words for Carlito Caribbean Cool.

Grow up.

Is it wrong for WWE to not have you on the card instead of potential filler matches like Kane vs. Khali and the women's title match? You could say that. I think WWE is taking a risk with Melina vs. Ashley because it could potentially be as bad as Trish vs. Christy Hemme from Wrestlemania 21. Kane vs. Khali, while Khali may be so damn green it's pathetic, Kane has been making the match watchable by his promotion work, and quite frankly, who deserves a spot in Wrestlemania more, the Big Red Monster who's been tearing WWE shows down for 10 plus years, even as a mad dentist? Or a punk kid from the Caribbean who even has the audacity to say he hates being a babyface? I mean, come on, I know some of the creative decisions that WWE has made are questionable, but if you're a member of the talent roster, don't sit here and talk to the media and complain about it publicly. What does that make you sound like?

If anyone, ANYONE on the talent roster has a reason to be annoyed that he is not on the card, there's only one I can think of at the present time, and his name is Ric Flair.

Is Flair going to provide major spots for the show? Probably not. But is he going to give it 1,000 percent and one way or another, make a moment memorable for the fans of Detroit and around the world? I think through 30 plus years in the business, it's a foregone conclusion that if the Nature Boy was given the opportunity to perform on the Super Bowl of Sports Entertainment, he would take the opportunity and cash it in to the fullest extent. What would absolutely send me over the edge in rage, and I doubt we'd ever figure it out, but if,

Carlito's attitude cost he and Flair the match at Wrestlemania because WWE wanted to "punish" Carlito....

then not only does Carlito need his head examined, but so does WWE, and God help us all if Flair finds out that theory to be accurate. He'd be liable to tear down Titan Towers, brick by brick, by himself.

As I am writing this, I am reminded of another duo that should be a little torked off for not being on the Wrestlemania card. Ever heard of the 4th longest reigning tag team champions, the WWE Tag Team Title holders, Paul London and Brian Kendrick? Neither of them are on the card, and will be probably relegated to this battle royale that is liable to go down on the pre-show. If you want to talk about another travesty of justice, that there is one that can be paramount and light years ahead of anything that Mr. Carlito has to complain about.

Don't get me wrong, ladies and gentlemen. I would prefer to see Carlito compete on Sunday. I would. But, if the office said no, then suck it up, shut your damn mouth, and move on. Take it as motivation to perform your ass off for 365 days and make sure that you're not on the bubble next year in Orlando like you are currently in Detroit.

But for God sakes' keep your mouth shut about your unhappiness. Nobody wants to hear about it.
