ROH Results from Chicago April 28, 2007
Six Man Mayhem
Delirious defeated Mike Quackenbush, Hallowicked, Pelle Primeau, Jigsaw and Gran Akuma
Mike Quackenbush was awesome. I'd never seen him before and I was truly impressed. Solid work from all the guys here. The "Quack" chants overshadowed the "bahs" after the match followed by "please come back" and I hope they do.
Special Challenge Match
Christopher Daniels and Eric Stevens fight to a no contest.
As reported earlier on this site, Daniel cut an amazing promo that truly enraged the fans. Finished off by pushing Allison Danger (in tears that channeled the late Elizabeth) and confronting B.J. Whitmer on the ramp.
Four Corner Survival Match
Brent Albright defeated Homicide, B.J. Whitmer and ?
Sorry on the crappy reporting, but this was a lackluster match and I don't get paid.
Grudge Match
Austin Aries defeated Rocky Romero
OK match, but these two girls in the third row started calling Romero "Chicken Legs" and they wouldn't stop. Eventually he turned and said "Shut Up, little Girl" At which point the entire house started chanting "Chicken Legs" until he had left the ring. Let's hope that one catches on.
ROH World Title Match
Takeshi Morishima defeated Shingo
Solid Match. Whenever I see Morishima with the belt I do a double take and think "really, is this the WWE and we just love a big man," but usually by the end of the match I am one over.
Intermission - Before the intermission they announced the next event in Chicago that will bring the return of "American Dragon"
Ring Crew Match ?
Tank Tolland defeated Sugarfoot
This was a solid bit. Sugarfoot came out and the crowd gave a good pop. Then Bobby Dempsey (sorry if that's wrong), you know the big 19 year old guy with the white anglo-fro, came out followed by Tank Tolland. Tank dissess them for a bit claiming he is a "naturally superior athlete" He promises to take Dempsey under his wing and whoop him into shape. He then lays a massacre on Sugarfoot.
Grudge Match
Roderick Strong defeats Jack Evans
Solid match. Eminem really can flip around that ring
ROH Tag-Team Title Match
The Briscoes defeated Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley
Match of the night. Chris and Alex where an amazing tag-team and truly ROH worthy.
Colt Cabana's Final ROH Match
Cabana defeated Shane Hagadorn in like 5 minutes.
This match was so short, the entire room was surprised when Hagadorn tapped of a Boston crab. No one was even shouting "Tap." Well, Cabana cut a promo to Hagadorn claiming respect in spite of ass-holeness and Hagadorn refuses his hand and spits in his face (Awesome!). The faces hit the ring with Ma & Pa Cabana and the heels stood at the top of the ramp. Cabana cut a decent farewell promo, that was honest and from the heart. Don't let Vince turn you into some bullsh*t Colt!

Delirious defeated Gran Akuma, Mike Quakenbush, Jigsaw, Hallowicked, and Pelle Primeau after pinning Gran Akuma with Chemical Imbalance 2. 2nd best match of the night. All of the Chikara guys were definitely over especially Quak. Awesome action and one of the best matches ive ever seen to date
Erick Stevens and Christopher Daniels wrestle to a 15 minute draw. Decent match but should not have ended in a draw. After the match Daniels announces that he is done with Ring of Honor after really letting the Ring of honor fans have it by telling them how they don't care about him and other top names who have left such as Joe and Punk. Sad but true.
Brent Albright defeated Homicide, BJ Whitmer, and Jimmy Rave after hitting a sick suplex on Homicide. Good match to get the crowd back into the action. Jimmy rave looked to have a huge shiner during the match. He left the ring during the last couple minutes and went to the back.
Austin Aries defeated Rocky Romero after a 450 splash. Hard hitting match with a lot of offense from both men. Romero was really getting heckled hard by a 4 year old little girl in my section much to the ammusement of the crowd.
ROH World Champ Morishima successfully defends against Shingo after a northern lights driver, stiff clothesline combo. Awesome title match with 2 international stars from both dragon gate and noah.
Intermission- Announced during intermission is the next show on June 24th back in Chicago Ridge that will be headlined by Bryan Danielson and KENTA in a rematch from one of the top matches of 06
Back to the action
Tank "Chad Dick" Toland destroys Sugarfoot with a modified spinebuster. After the match Toland decides to take Big Bad Bobby Dhemsey under his wing to make him more like Tank.
Roderick Strong defeated Jack Evans with a Razors Edge into a modified Ace Crusher. Very good match that really made Roderick look good in the process.
Briscoe Brothers successfully defended the ROH world tag team titles against the Motor City Machine Guns of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin. Best match of the night by far. Shelley and Sabin really stole the show with their amazing chemistry and double team moves. Best match I've ever seen live. It was even better than the dragon gate 6 man tag wrestling observer match of the year 2006.
Colt Cabana defeated Adam Pearce with a modified crab submission in his farewell match in ROH. After the match Colt goes to shake Pearces hand but instead gets spit in the face by Pearce.
Amazing show all together. One of the best ROH shows I've ever been to. Can't wait to go again.
